These Hidatsu Shield Figure beans have been a terrific delight. Everyday I walk out into the garden there are a few more beans. I think I have like 24 right now. I'm waiting for them to get bigger so I can use them as shelled beans.
There is a another one in the box with more yellow leaves. I think it needs more magnesium. I'm adding more today.
The Skip Garden at King's Cross is an interesting experiment by Global Generation to grow organic food in a tough urban environment. The vegetable and flower-filled skips are sited on an old bus car park and there's a great cafe too. globalgeneration.org.uk/kings-cross-skip-garden
Due to both the semi-draught and neglect, the flowers are dying. The hippie crust punks next door put this up not too long after they moved in.
