At first, I thought these were duds. Then it sent out buds. This leaf was about 2" tall on Friday. Now it's nearly 6" tall.

week three:

sage - flourishing, surprising considering its puny initial growth.

basil - already used on pizza. delicious, towering.

cilantro - dead. all it took was one day without water. ONE DAY.

This is the same scene that is depicted in my image "Lots of Pots..." that was taken one month earlier.

I returned to this locale to see if the flower pots were still present, or had been blown down as a result of the strong storm that had passed through Baltimore last week.

The pots and flowers were indeed still present.

The man has a cigarette in his right hand, which is probably why he went out onto the patio, to smoke it.

i've never had a red one before.

our p-patch is growing like crazy! We have zucchini, pickeling cucumbers, poblano peppers, peas and broccoli as well as roses and beautiful kangaroo paws

Last week, I cleaned up the succulent ground cover that had grown over my potted plants. Then, my bougainvillea had about 6 open bracts and a handful of leaves turning. Once, the plant got sun on its feet, I got this colorful explosion.

I bought this plant for 99c when it was looking very sad and a month or so later it's beautiful!
