We are slowly reaching the end of this series from Uppsala Cathedral. Just a couple of more shots to go. This was taken in the ambulatorium, showing the nave and the south isle.

Norrlands nation building.
Norrlands nation is a student society and the largest of thirteen nations at Uppsala University. It mainly recruits its members from the province of Norrland, which is the northernmost part of Sweden. As of 2012, the nation had about 8,000 members.
The nation owns a building complex of 5,500 sqm by the Fyris River in central Uppsala, with the older part from 1889, the facade being designed by Swedish architect Isak Gustaf Clason.
Wikipedia
Gothic architecture was primarily invented for structural purposes – the cealing above the nave reaching ever higher, creating a symbolical heaven as it were. I'm not a religious person, but I can appreciate the architectural ambition. Gothic churches are like no others.

The main building of Uppsala University, designed by Herman Holmgren and built in 1887. It's a great piece of architecture, if you ask me. Pay notice to the replicas of ancient Greek sculptures to the right.
I did another take on this interior some three years prior. See it here.

Winter in Gamla Uppsala.
Uppsala is a town near Stockholm and famous for Uppsala University where students come from all over the world.
Another shot of the cathedral interior. It's not as colorful, but I think I post-processed all photos in the same way, with the exception of the first one.

and the river Fyris, clouds drift away in the tranquil evening.../Uppsala Domkyrka och Fyrisån en lugn sommarkväl, molnen vandrar bort.../La catedral de Uppsala, y el río Fyris, unas nubes se aleja en el atardecer tranquilo
evening, a cat in no hurry goes across the street.../En Uppsala, atardece, un gato cruza la calle sin prisa.../Uppsala, kväll, en katt går lugn över gatan...

I got this blue hour shot the day I met my girlfriend for the first time. Not a bad day at all! Glad I got the pretty light to remember it by.
