Here's a shot from the past weekend when I was working with Patrick Dunn on some potential album cover shots for his upcoming record. This is one of my favorites.

The reflection of the window in the puddle was a lucky accident.

Shot from the Massachusetts Avenue bridge over the Charles River in Boston.

This is an HDR shot from three exposures.

Nature is such an inspiring designer. And the rewards for looking closely are huge.

There were a few telephone books on the porch of a house I walked by that were in a magnificent state of deterioration.

So I think this is the FIRST Night Photograph of the Zakim Bridge as seen from the newly opened Lovejoy Wharf in Boston.

I hope you enjoy it as much as I did taking it.

Thank You,

I love the way different kinds of rock break and wear smooth at the ocean's edge. The Giant's Causeway in Northern Ireland is a perfect example of what I mean. Anyway, the granite here in Marblehead breaks in very cool crystalline shapes.

A shot of a random commuter waiting for an an MBTA Red Line train taken on the platform at Alewife Station in Cambridge, MA, with my iPhone camera. There's something about this shot that I find appealing, but I can't quite put my finger on it. Maybe the sort of haunting feeling of isolation it evokes? Not sure what it is, but it pleases me.

If you're interested in seeing some other shots I've experimented with using my iPhone camera, see a small collection of my photos on The Best Camera site, which posts only photos taken with an iPhone.

This Willow tree adds a spot of colour on a stark white day near Boston's Charles River.

... or just a highly dramatic sunset in my neighborhood this evening? You tell me.

The Boston 4th of July fireworks, taken from Thomas Park at the top of Dorchester Heights in South Boston.

I went out for an early walk on Sunday morning along the river and when I got to the bridge just outside Watertown Square I spent a delightful 10 minutes watching this duck frolicking in the swiftly moving water at the top of the waterfall. SOOC

Looking across the Inner Boston Harbor to Rowes Wharf and the Boston Financial District. Shot in front of the Federal Courthouse.

We got the first real snow .. its taken some time but finally here.

Also, it was the 'photogenic' snow .. wet and sticky .. it stayed on the bare trees and looked good : )
