Colour version of a B&W shot I did a while back. I think I prefer the colour version.

Canary Wharf Underground Station.

Taken at the Redoubt / Mobilisation Centre at North Weald was built at the end of the 19th century. It was one of several built to provide ammuntion to protect London if war ever broke out.

So far in this series we've been up mountains, to the beach and have seen sunsets. Nothing for it - we need to go underground!

Here's something you don't see everyday, an underground waterfall.

This is the wonderfully named Smoo Cave at Durness,

which is a unique geological feature in the UK as it was formed by both the action of the sea and by freshwater. The large outer cave was formed by the actions of the sea, and is in fact the largest sea-cave entrance in the UK. The inner chambers of the cave, including the waterfall chamber shown here were created by freshwater eroding permeable rocks.

The waterfall is the Allt Smoo falling into the cave through a hole in the cave roof. On my first visit to the cave the Allt Smoo was in spate due to heavy rain, and the spray that it kicked up was incredible - it soaked in seconds so there was no chance of photography.

It is an amazing place, well worth a visit if you are ever up that way!

Decisions, decisions...actually no, as, although it is not apparent from the photo, the tunnel on the left has it's roof held up by stulls, above which hundreds of tons of deads (waste rock) are perched, ready to drop! Who knows how long they have been hanging there. Plus the difficulty of crossing that gap...

Another taken from my set "Tube"...........which isn't posted yet.

Just wandering.........I snapped this as a contrast to a recent shot that didn't feature any people...........not sure which I prefer most!!!

Time exposure : 4 sec ( on mini tripod, of course ) :-)

Se encuentra junto a Fátima en Portugal .... fue descubierta por unos cazadores ... y actualmente está habilitada para ser visitada ... y se puede admirar su atractivo natural .... gracias amigos/as por vuestros comentarios
