Hope you have a fabulous Friday!

Twin Lakes, Colorado is 36 miles east of Aspen. This view is taken from Independence Pass. It was early and overcast but provided beautiful rich color and tones.

A magnificent view of Bali's Twin Lakes can be seen from Gobleg village which located in the upper area of the of Lake Buyan and Lake Tamblingan. As you stand in looking down you will see the shimmering lakes reflecting the sun light.

Lake Buyan and Lake Tamblingan are just like twin with their natural beauty and charm. The natural condition is quite well cared, regarding the using of no motored-boat, just a "Jukung" (Balinese traditional fishing boat) on those two lakes.

Apart from enjoying the scenery, the area of the lakes contains a wide diversity of flora and fauna is an ideal place for trekking, bird watching, and camping. Until now their natural resources have not been impaired by the activities of human being so that the ecological balance has been maintained and the solid biosphere has existed. However this balance is a fragile one could very easily be disrupted by activities such as tourism.

If you fancy one, there is a pre-owned one available for a cool £16,900,000 plus taxes..... I'll drive it for you!

Snoqualmie River. Twin Falls in the background. Most crowded trail I've ever hiked. Saw a million people and just as many dogs. The fact I ever found the chance to take the four shots that make up this panorama without any people being in any of them is basically a miracle.

Not usually what I do photographing people walking down the street. Whenever the light is nice, though, I try to make something happen...

Here's the last of my shots from the Twin Cascade area in western MA, shot way back in October. This is a view of the narrow flume below where the two waterfalls join together. The water was freezing to stand in. This is the last shot I have to upload for the foreseeable future. I have more from this day as well as some very different shots from Marblehead in November, but they are on my desktop computer which is still down.

It was a cloudy night at KLCC, Malaysia

This is the view of Twin Lakes from Mamie Lake above Mammoth Lakes, CA. It was a cold but beautiful morning when this shot was taken. There had been a fresh dusting of snow from the night before and very few people were around.

First attempt at a waterfall shoot bit of a slippery climb down and wade through the water but worth the effort.

This is the lower falls of the Twin Falls.

Many thanks to all those who take the time to view add them as favourites and comment on my photographs. It is very much appreciated.

I got to see these two being born, and yes they are twins. I took this photo with the old Kodak throw away camera.

Snoqualmi Falls the real site of the fictional town of Twin Peaks. The Salish Lodge in the top left hand corner is the location for the Great Northern hotel in the show.

21/52 - I went to Gatlinburg this weekend and I loved it so much. all the mountains and fog make it such a beautiful place. I'm missing all the pretty scenery as I sit in my bedroom in lame Nashville.

Truth be told, I’m a horrible camper. I camped once when I was 19. Then the next time was a few years ago on my way to a wedding in Tahoe. I bought a $25 tent from Target and set it up. Slept on the floor (no air mattress, no pad, nothing). Just a sleeping bag. Rookie. Didn’t sleep. I think I’ve camped a total of… 5 nights since then. I still suck at it. Finally, this past trip to Mammoth/Bishop, setup the tent, used a nice air mattress, and a pad, a thick sleeping bag, extra blankets, my own pillow, etc, etc… So I was totally ready for a great, full night sleep.

Wind.

The Twin Lakes Campground in Mammoth has GOT to be the windiest place in the world. And I chose a campsite with no vegetation/trees around it (because that’s where raccoons like to hide until you’re not looking and then come up and steal your food!). But that also means no protection from the wind. So everything was in order and we went to sleep around 9:30 and the wind was so violent that it literally felt like someone was grabbing the base of the tent and shaking the flaps as hard as they could. Sounded like thunder. Honestly think I got 30min of sleep. At dawn I could tell it was going to be an amazing sunrise, but I laid their angry, in protest, because of what Mother Nature did. So I boycotted photographing their sunrise out of spite.

So this was the sunset from on top of a waterfall overlooking the Twin Lakes Campground. We moved our tent the next day.

Twin Lights

The full moon rises next to Whaleback Light, as seen from New Castle, New Hampshire.

A little note on the color of the moon: The light from the moon is, of course, reflected sunlight, and when the moon is low in the horizon we are viewing it through much more atmosphere than we would if it were straight overhead. The light bounces off particles in the atmosphere and the color that we see is the dominant color that did not scatter. Blue lightwaves are shorter and are more easily scattered than the red lightwaves by the particles our atmosphere.

Week old twin Scottish Black Face lambs.

Very curious and playful.

My track undercuts this field and the lambs just stuck their wee heads out over the bluff, to see what the noise was, as I was driving down the hill.
