Today I picked the hi-res scan of one of my old favorite negs. Shot Hasselblad 500cm Plus-X
5min exposure. Moonlight was my main and only source of illumination.
Shot near Palm Springs California. This was my second attempt at this shot.
The first try failed because I lost separation between the blades and sky.
This time I was sure to get underneath them allowing the dark sky to contrast with the white blades.
I have beautiful 13"x13'' prints available.
The spiral, or helical staircase in the chapel of St Catherine, Valletta offered an unmissable opportunity for a disconcerting spiralling angle.
Lots of indecision with this shot as to which way up to post it, but I think this works best.
So busy busy, this is a mock up picture showing the height difference between our church and two wind turbines that are being planned...sadly they are just on the entrance to a lovely devon village so a lots of people are very uphappy about it...I have also had a sickness bug..ekkk...still trying to get it out of my system..hope you are all well..
Nocturna, realizada en la zona de Almansa en compañia de Salva Moya y Antonio Cumplido.

Taken last Friday on a visit to the Tate Modern. Anyone who's been there will have seen the turbine hall and the giant windows at the far end and in the evening it illuminates the hall with brilliant sunlight.
This is the first in a series of pics taken from this viewpoint (the platform in the middle of the hall) - I'll try to post them this week.

Star trails over the local wind farm. Far too cold to be out shooting at midnight lately, so decided to stay home and blend some older shots while peering over the top of a cuppa.
Here in the deep countryside you find quite some Wind Turbines, however, they do not look very nice in this beautiful landscape. Whether the thousands of sheep which live close to wind turbines like these artificial additions to nature - is doubtful.
During last night's walk through the fields I found this 'Natural Wind Turbine' and I think the sheep agree that this one is much nicer - though not effective for electrical power production

An abandoned papermill virtually untouched by vandalism or graffiti. Not sure about the whole history but it dates back to the 1920s/30s.
The Chocolate Milk Germany UE Tour. All win no fail and some epic locations with host, sunny weather, many miles travelled and much chocolate milk consumed.

In retrospect she realized it was probably wiser to just forge ahead and not concern herself with whether or not she left the oven on.
I pass these wind turbines often as I go from one end of the country to the other by train. Every once in a while there is interesting light and clouds - something worth trying to capture. It is quite challenging with the train moving at 160 km/h. At that speed the foreground features are blurred even to the naked eye and there is only one change to capture the frame. It is there for a split second and then gone forever - exciting.
Thank you everyone for visiting, commenting and fav'ing - very much appreciated!
This turbine sits on top of the Glen Canyon Dam and is no longer used.
I am looking forward to feedback on how to improve my photo skills, be it technical, artistic or post-processing how-to. Do you have any?
