Not an extraordinary photo; I’m just a fan of big, twisted trees. I found this one at a stop on a country mountain road. It was starting to rain – not much time to get a better shot.

These days I was walking through a field, and then I came across this beautiful tree yellow flowers.
In the shade of this old tree in the summer of my dreams
By the tall grass by the wild rose where the trees dance as the wind blows

On the good and gracious green in the summer of my dreams
L'albero. Simbolo di vita in continua evoluzione, in ascensione verso il cielo, evoca con grande forza il simbolismo della verticalità. L'albero mette in comunicazione i tre livelli del cosmo: quello sotterraneo, per le radici che scavano le profondità in cui affondano; la superficie della terra, per il tronco ed i primi rami; e i cieli, per i rami superiori e la cima attirati dalla luce del sole. Esso riunisce tutti gli elementi: l'acqua circola con la linfa, la terra si integra al suo corpo attraverso le radici, l'aria nutre le sue foglie, il fuoco si sprigiona dal legno se lo si strofina.
