The Trans-Canada Highway between Victoria (BC) and St. John's (NF) is the world's longest national highway with a length of 7,821 km (4,860 mi.) The midpoint of the highway is at Batchwana Bay, about 65 km north of Sault Ste. Marie Ontario

I have read somewhere that people were complaining about the the trans-blue torso shell from the new Stringer set. "Because you can't use it if you don't have any other trans-blue parts and the ones that exist are useless". Well, that sounds like a challenge right? So I took every trans-blue part I have and tried to make something with it. It is a really simple MOC but my point is proven that you CAN build something with the torso.

Something cool is happening in Chattanooga, TN! Kevin Bate and a team of other artists are on a mission to make a dull brick and mortar drive into a beautiful and entertaining drive through art gallery.

The mural on the left is Lorri Y. Terlizzese's piece for the McCallie Walls Project mural, entitled "Trans-universal".

Revisited a few shots that I took last year and gave them some post processing treatment. Another car shot to add to the growing list.

Initiated in 1992 as a project to celebrate Canada’s 125th year, the Trans Canada Trail is one of the world's longest networks of multi-use recreational trails. Once fully connected, it will stretch nearly 24,000 kilometres from the Atlantic to the Pacific to the Arctic oceans, through every province and territory.

To date, just over 18,000 kilometres of the Trail are operational which is 80 percent of the proposed route. The goal is to connect the Trail as a continuous route from coast to coast to coast by 2017.

When the Trans-Mongolian Express made one of two scheduled stops on its trip across China, I was out of the train and on the platform in an instant. It was smokers and photographers at 50 paces. Train stops in China, Mongolia and Russia are a risky business, the train departs without any announcement, or even a blast of the train's horn. Rule Number 1, never stray far from the train, Rule Number 2, keep a close eye on the (in this case) lady in blue, because when she disappears, the steps will be raised, the doors will be locked and the train will disappear too.

Our train was enormous, consisting of Mongolian cars with a string of Chinese cars, and a Chinese dining car, attached the the back of the train. All the Chinese cars were removed at the Chinese border.

Ever the intrepid traveller, I had lunch in the Chinese dining car. It was a relic from the 1950, a Soviet built car that hadn't been cleaned since Mao died. The floor was awash with water (they said the air conditioning had failed), there were only four items available from an extensive menu, all were served cold, as was the boiled rice. The food was quite nice nonetheless.

The dining car ran out of food before dinner time, if you didn't have a stash of raman noodles, it was slim pickings for dinner.

A quality day with the man Trans 1, I had the privilege of painting with him in what I can only discribe aza Trans 1 gallery. Believe me, he's walls are even better than his flix.

The Trans-Canada Highway is a series of provincial highways which join all ten provinces of Canada. As the second largest country in the world, driving the 8,030 km (just under 5,000 miles) Trans-Canada Highway is one of the three-longest single-country highway journeys in the world. I took this shot in the Rocky Mountains on the road to Banff.

An abstract shot of the Columbus Tower with the Trans-America building in the background. I never knew that Francis Ford Coppola owns the Columbus Tower! I really love the colour production that HDR has managed to produce.

This was taken along the Trans Canada Highway travelling from Jasper to Banff, Alberta. This was taken on May 12, 2010...and the moutains were still snow covered and some of the lakes still frozen over. It was 20 C (around 70 F) in Jasper that day! This Highway is listed as one of the most beautiful drives...and I can attest to that!!

I am not sure of the names of all the mountains in my various images or if I was in Jasper or Banff National Park at this point along the Highway. I welcome any feedback regarding names from any of my flickr contacts. Thank you.

According to www.flickr.com/photos/dngallphoto/ this may be Mount Patterson from one of the Waterfowl Lakes in Banff. Thank you again for the information.

And my spirit is crying for leaving.

In my thoughts I have seen rings of smoke through the trees,

And the voices of those who stand looking."
