I've been trying to capture this train for a long time but it usually goes by my place so fast that I never get a shot. So, Saturday, while on my way to photography class with the camera sitting right next to me, I saw this guy and pulled over and got the shot. It's just hard to beat luck.
When the sound of the distant train carried over Vermillion lakes, I knew that an image had made itself available.

There's no mountain train. I'm running low on images that I think are interesting so I just stuck these three together to make one..:) I know, I've been watching too much Creative Live.com. The train is the newest image. I starting taking my camera everywhere in hopes of getting a good shot and when I was coming home Yesterday, I spotted this train headed north coming out of Mexico and pulled over to take the shot.
About 2 months ago, I told the Parks Foundation I would lead a hike along Barton Creek Greenbelt on National Park Day. I figured March, central Texas, Spring weather...Tomorrow at 9 am it will be 39 degrees..:)) Imagine my surprise. I know, it'll be fine after the first mile..;)
This image is a little day glow. It got away from me some how.
No expressions on their faces in the rain
We're ain't going nowhere children, we're just strangers on a train
No goodbye, no use sending letters home
There's one way to oblivion and that road ain't far from home
You may find it hard to face the evil, do you Son?
You still think a miracle will happen, when you face the gun
And then we'll fade into the night
we hold our precious dreams inside
with young hearts open wide
Running on the edge of time
so won't you hold me one last time
go tell the world about the crime
and let it never happen ever again
A foll beileved his Kingdom would last a 1000 years
Now the echoes paint a future
but tomorrow hold the tears
The World is watching, but then no one have seen the end
Running on a train to nowhere
that's the bitter truht my friend
Will we ever learn so the crosses burn!
The world will fade into the night
will someone remember my name
Ride this nightmare to an end
so won't you hold me one last time
go tell the world about the crime
and let it never happen ever again

The train system in Greece was shut down during the financial crisis. Except for right in Athens, the tracks are now growing over with weeds and the stations stand empty.
I clicked this shot at St.Pancras station in London. Well, I really wanted to capture the movement of the train, and somehow decided to position myself opposite the people waiting across the platform. The timing worked perfectly.

We had some crazy awesome clouds yesterday in La Junta. Jumped out and took a few snaps of the train going by for the hell of it. I know this is nothing like my normal posts, but it's Sunday and I thought I would post it just for fun.
Hope everyone is having a great day off!!!
