I should explain one point.. Most of my photos are not HDR. I make tonemapping in photomatix from single RAW..

More nt shots to go & still very slack in my visits (as always :))... this was taken from the cruise boat. During the dry season, most of this area can be walked on and there are metal path & bridges with safety railings for tourists to roam around. However it was full of water when i was there and everything was submerged right under the water. Lots of huge barramudi for the locals to fish, which are also great meals for those crocs hanging around! :P

HDR photography by Timothy Selvage of reflections between a tunnel of mirrors, self-portrait. I was a little disappointed as I spent ages in the tunnel trying to get things just right. Everything looked great on the in camera LCD display but when I got home I was bitterly disappointed. All the mirrored pannels were filthy, covered in smears and marks. So dispite making sure that everything was as sharp as a pin, the reflections came out unclear and grubby. This led to things being processed with a dark mood.

Next time I'm taking some glass cleaner. Have you spent ages at a location only to find that things didn't come out as expected?

I am not quite sure what you good people will think of this. To that matter, I am not quite sure myself! This is one of my favourite scenes in Brugges, Belgium, taken last year. I just felt that it would take a harsh, 'Lemony Snicket', gothic style treatment, which it has had by way of tonemapping and texturing. I am sure that we all have images that sometimes we look at and really like and other times get close to hitting the delete button. For me, this one falls into that category, so I will not be upset if it is not greeted with open arms!

As always, I thank you for taking the time to look.

( I got a new little pocket camera and am learning to use it - there is an In-Camera *Dramatic* setting that is similar to tonemapping without all the noise.)

A somewhat darker sunset shot - I kept the colors muted to emphasize the tranquility of the moment.
