The secret treasure of Porth Nanven way down in the far west of Cornwall.

Very much enjoyed a trip down to Cot Valley and Porth Nanven with my old mate My Beady Eye. and Khun Jeremy who'd taken the long trip down to visit us.

Happy Hump Day! xx

At Fowlsheugh near Stonehaven

The Thrift was out in force last week, against the backdrop of Worm's Head

I took this back in May from the South West Coast Path, between Porthcothan and Treyarnon Bay. That's a bank of incoming mist which is making the horizon look a bit wonky.

Precious memories sold for a few bucks!

Its still lovely even when its withered away.

Taken during an afternoon in the rain on the beach with Wiffsmiff; Rob Funffinger joined us later and brought the better weather with him!

Front of anniversary lap quilted on Gamel.

1 lap quilt for Thrift shop anniversary sale, 2 dog beds, one weighed 12 lbs,

7 pillows all to sell for fund raising

I have longed for such a long time to actually see one of these in the flesh, as it were, and yesterday we were overwhelmed by the sheer numbers of them. They are such characters! However, the info at the visitors centre tells us that all the bird populations in Shetland, over the last 30 years or so, have declined badly!

So many more Puffin pics in the pipeline, and a bit more info too...

Bit of a dull sunset, but still like the colour on the Sea Thrift

There has been no snow here and I've no new SLR shots ready to post. Here's an old one from last Summer.

Thrift (Sea Lavender family) - Ameria maritima.

We had these little pink flowers dotted all round our garden when I was a child even though we lived in Manchester, not by the sea! We called them sea pinks.
