Cholla cactus grove at sunrise, Joshua Tree National Park, California, USA. The original photo had a hopeless contrast, I processed this with tonemapping. Saved from oblivion from January of 2009.

Agapanthus - regarded in NZ as a wildflower as they spread so prolifically and line the roads in many parts of the country. Good for banks as they prevent erosion because of their deep and tangled root system. Also come in white but blue is the most common.
First place 'Natures Pot of Gold' - Flower Den #75 - thank you
This German Shepherd was part of the crowd control for Canada Day in Brantford On. See how he intently watches for anything funny going on. I got a chance to meet him and his handler and photographed him accordingly.

Don't (ever) dream it's over!
'There is freedom within
there is freedom without
Try to catch a deluge in a paper cup
There's a battle ahead
many battles are lost
But you'll never see the end of the road
While you're traveling with me
Now I'm towing my car
there's a hole in the roof
my possessions are causing me suspicion but there's no proof
in the paper today
tales of war and of waste
but you turn right over to the T.V. page
Now I'm walking again
to the beat of a drum
And I'm counting the steps to the door of your heart
Only shadows ahead
barely clearing the roof
Get to know the feeling of liberation and relief....'

Last year we went for a lovely walk; a colleague from the hospital and me. Took the dog with us and shot many lovely autumn shots. One of them is this one. Very crowded inside, that's why I came up with this name. I took this with a very small camera, and... on my knies ;-))
'Who can’t take an interesting picture with a cheap camera, highly unlikely he will get something better with the camera of his dreams. For this reason I love compact cameras' Andreas Feininger and so do I !!

Some days things are just not going our way, and then there are days like this ... when the light and nature offer us a reward ...
Today Adraga Beach looked like a convention of photographers :) but somehow i manage to "infiltrate" myself to take this picture...
