The peak on the left is Table Rock Mountain. I have soooo many mountain shots still, but I'll try to start breaking them up a bit. I don't want you all to get bored!
Have a great day and thank you for stopping by!

Yesterday afternoon I had the pleasure of meeting and shooting with Hougaard Malan… easily one of South Africa’s most talented professional landscape photographers… and a really nice guy!
Although the sky looked very promising when we arrived at this location… unfortunately the sun stayed tucked away behind a cloud the entire time… so sadly we didn’t get the light that we were hoping for. I was however… very pleased to see that the tide was exactly right for a composition that I’ve been trying to capture for about a year now!! We might not have had direct sunlight for our foregrounds… but the air was crisp and clear… the tide was perfect… the clouds were looking great… everything was working for me… even the ship was in the right place!! What a great shoot!!
This is a single-image Croporama... you really should view this one large... I think you'll like it. :)
The forecast for the Western Cape predicts lots of rain and extremely cold weather for this weekend… hopefully I’ll get an opportunity to (finally) point my camera at some snow!!! Wish me luck??
Have a great weekend everyone!

All of this rain makes me think of one place first….Table Mountain in Oroville. A good soaking is required to get the waterfalls up there going, and while prime time is in the spring when you have the strong greens and wildflowers, I am dying to get up there! This is a tighter comp of a post from LY. The image has been one of my most popular shots so far, and I have actually sold it a few times. My intentions for this trip were to shoot the Lupine with sunset behind, but I stumbled on this comp and everything lined up! Hope you enjoy, let me know what you think!
I captured this iconic view of Table Mountain from Blaauwberg beach shortly after sunset yesterday.
The thing that I like most about shooting coastal subjects such as this one, is that it’s practically impossible to capture exactly the same scene in the exact same way more than once. The constantly changing light, clouds, tides and waves will always ensure a totally unique image… every time you press the shutter!
My favorite image of the day is this one by Miles Morgan (aka mm767cap), an airline pilot from Portland, Oregon. Not only is Miles an incredibly talented photographer, but he’s also one of the most modest and humble photographers that I’ve come across on Flickr. And he’s funny too… I’m always smiling by the time that I finish reading the descriptions to one of his images! Thanks for all the inspiration over the past couple of years Miles… I hope that one day I'll be able to take photos like you do!
