I was running to get into the September round of Collabor88 bright and early yesterday and when I left I had an empty wallet, and my arm was sore from carrying so many bags! So I made multiple costume changes throughout the day but had no wardrobe malfunctions, so all in all it was a good day!

The first thing I grabbed was the 'Long Sweater' from Tres Blah! It was one of those instances that the phrase, 'ask and ye shall receive' fit! Since it's sweater weather in my real world a new one is perfect timing, and Vrir and I had discussed all the great things about oversized sweaters, so when I got to C88 it was like it had a ray of sunlight on it and it was calling my name! I got the fat pack to get the 5 bonus colours. It's fitted for the Maitreya, SLink, and Belleza(Isis/Freya).

The 'Yumi' hair is from [monso], and it's new and exclusive to Collabor88, too!

As always, I'm wearing the 'Maddie' skin in 'honey' tone from The Skinnery on the 'Lilo' bento head from Catwa and the 'Lara' mesh body from Maitreya.

The pose is 'Model 823' from Manifeste.

Katie and I went hiking around yesterday and the colors were so beautiful. I also bought a Pentax 50mm lens from the thrift store and I'm super duper excited to get an adapter and try that baby out.

'Wish You Were Here' ~Pink Floyd~

So, Liz is out walking in the cool autumn air, deep in thought and looking good doing it. I have to admit that when I go walking in real life, it doesn't look like this. Liz walks with delicate grace among the golden countryside, her thoughts meander over many topics but always come back to how blessed she is in life. She's completely in the moment and feels the colours around her as much as she sees it. If I do this in reality, I'm out in the beauty of nature that's now the golds, browns and rusts of autumn, below a huge pale blue sky where the jet trails stay visible all day. The air is cool but the sun warm. But, this is where reality differs from Second Life, I'll be walking deep in thought, my mind racing from topic to topic and asking questions I don't know the answers to. The ground is really uneven and my foot catches on a bush and I fall down, hurting my hand and getting grass and dirt in my hair, but I only mutter under my breath, dust myself off, and carry on. I look up into the sun feeling it's warmth on my face....and not looking where I'm going, I've walked into a little bluff of aspen saplings and a branch that's face high on me slides across my nose and cheek, making a red welt and stinging like all get out. I don't mutter this time, I grit my teeth and say @!%&^$*&^#. I clear the way to get out of there with no more injuries. I now see where I am in relation to the road that runs past the pasture and realize I've gone further than I thought and now face the long walk back to the truck. I stand and enjoy the stillness of the day for a few minutes, and acknowledge how blessed I am and for this one second in time I'm completely in the moment, my mind stilled by the beauty of the day. I decide to cross over onto the road for the hike back, but in between me and the road is a 4 strand barbed wire fence.....you can probably see what's coming! Yea.....even though I've been crawling through these fences most of my life, every one of them poses a certain challenge, and this one's no different. I press down on the 2nd strand from the bottom and intending to duck through the gap, my jacket catches on a barb on my back, I move back out of it and duck down further to try again, only this time I catch the crotch of my pants on a barb on the lower strand. I shimmy back and forth a few times, getting caught and uncaught again and again, until finally I'm through and walking through the ditch to the road. I went for this walk to get back to nature one last time before winter, and although Liz can do it so much better, in real life.......only I can smell the fresh cool air, hear the migrating geese as they fly overhead, and know that I'm one of the luckiest women alive.

I decided that it's time to embrace the cooler weather and quit pretending summer clothes are warm enough. So, I found the 'Azia Sweater' and the 'Arwen Vest' in my inventory for this outing, and they're perfect. They're an older release from *Just BECAUSE*, but they look as great as the day they were new. They fit the Maitreya, SLink, and Belleza(Freya/Isis) mesh bodies and come in loads of colours. Plus, they fit together perfectly or can be worn separately.....plus they also fit over jeans easily.

The 'H0527' hair is from tram.

I'm wearing the 'Ribbed Knit Leggings' appliers from Simply Sage.
