Info about these sweaters I make can be found here

this is probably the most unusual sweater i've made so far. special request from my friend Tyler in Seattle, who collaborated with me on the fighter-jet design he wanted, which i somehow managed to turn into a knitted pattern ( success seemed unlikely when i started working on it) Note the front pockets, which i think i'll start offering for future sweater orders..

got up at 3 to take this photo, sun's just coming up over the far mountains. I love June in Iceland..

BTW: i believe i'm supposed to appear on the seattle-based TV program Evening Magazine today (june 2nd), for those in that area who might be interested in seeing it.

two guys from the show were in Iceland in May, and spent nearly 4 hours with me shooting footage, i'm very curious (nervous) to see how it came out. they promised me it would be viewable online at some point, i'll provide a link when that happens.

EDIT:

here's a link to the TV segment

Comfort sweated, I'm glad I revivified it from the lonely store rack.

Sweater #2 &3

Today!!!! See my profile :)

The completed sweater vest, which has certainly made me both moody and blue at times!

And while I'd be the first to point out its many flaws, I'm actually quite pleased with it.

I learned a lot, I created something that is definitely usable (and reusable!) and it basically fits.

The future is already here, as earlier today I took shears to my prototype muslin and added princess seams to the sides.

Do I know what I'm doing? No, of course not, but I found a nice blog post. :)

I'd tried darts and they looked ridiculous. Ripped them out. The curved seams look much better and create a very nice fit on the sides.

Of course, it threw off the leg opening, so I had to add three inches in the middle, cut three inches off the tail, and now I think the neck is too tight. Again.

My next project might be to ditch the undercarriage piece and see if I can get the sides worked out - with the neck and upper chest.

Petite size medium.

Purchased at JC Penney during Black Friday (I was so focused on my boyfriend's sister's wedding, I forgot to bring a dress for her rehearsal dinner - oops!). It's acrylic and *very* comfortable!

Betty takes a break from her walk and has a sit down by the forest pool. She sees her reflection in the water and can't help but admire her lovely blue sweater. She was chattering away to her reflection when i saw her and took her picture :)

Finish some sweaters:heart:️:gift_heart:

What is asked of one is not what is asked of another.

A sweater takes on the shape of its wearer,

a coffee cup sits to the left or the right of the workspace,

making its pale Saturn rings of now and before.

Lucky the one who rises to sit at a table,

day after day spilling coffee sweet with sugar, whitened with milk.

Lucky the one who writes in a book of spiral-bound mornings

a future in ink, who writes hand unshaking, warmed by thick wool.

Lucky still, the one who writes later, shaking. Acrobatic at last, the

sweater,

elastic as breath that enters what shape it is asked to.

Patient the table; unjudging, the ample, refillable cup.

Irrefusable, the shape the sweater is given,

stretched in the shoulders, sleeves lengthened by unmetaphysical

pullings on.
