The last bit of sunlight as it vanished back in the west on this view looking northeast across the farmland in Darlington, Maryland ... not far from Conowingo and all the eagles :)
[explore]
shine it deep inside of me
sunlight show me the way...
I look at the stars and I pray for morning
counting the hours till morning...
Im standing on the promise of a brand new day

We had a lovely sunny Sunday morning in Dublin. This was taken from Orwell Road bridge over the River Dodder. I did quite a bit of processing in Lightroom. In reality everything is still much greener, but despite the present nice weather, there's a distinct autumnal feel.
No matter how dark the sky may be
The sun is always there for us to see
If we put our trust in God Almighty's Care
The sun shall forever be there for us to share
I'd forgotten all about taking this image, an absolutely epic crazy early morning sunrise on Loch Rosky, in the Trossachs.
I'd had a few hours sleep in the car after shooting sunset near to here, this morning had started off well with a massive amount of mist rolling in off the hills across the Loch allowing me to get some very surreal pink hued images well before sunrise, and a completely different scene into the sunrise.
This was the last image I took from this morning with the sun just popping up over the hills and trees at the head of the Loch, it was extremely bright but I thought I'd have a go at shooting right into it as the scene was just amazing with the sunlight hitting the water and burning off the mist on the surface, the mist was still diffusing the sunlight so it was worth a go, I'd had a go at trying to get a sunburst through the trees at a very small aperture that I hardly ever use (f/22) but the mist thwarted that which does make sense when you think about it, instead I ended up capturing the lovely warm light rays hitting the water, you often hear the term 'the sun will burn off the mist' but it's not often you get to see it and actually capture it, the challenge was to harness the light without sillhouetting all the details.
One of the most epic and productive mornings I've had in a long time.
“Beauty is a form of genius - is higher, indeed, than genius, as it needs no explanation. It is of the great facts in the world like sunlight, or springtime, or the reflection in dark water of that silver shell we call the moon.”

The clouds in the Chicago, Illinois area were spectacular last night. I saw every type of clouds up there. This large one really caught my eye with the sunlight.

Through my window

May your joys be as bright as the morning, and your sorrows merely be shadows that fade in the sunlight of love. May you have enough happiness to keep you sweet, enough trials to keep you strong, enough sorrow to keep you human, enough hope to keep you happy, enough failure to keep you humble, enough success to keep you eager, enough friends to give you comfort, enough faith and courage in yourself to banish sadness, enough wealth to meet your needs and one thing more; enough determination to make each day a wonderful day than the one before. :)
