Just thought I'd throw this one up to let you all know that I'm still

Been a little unmotivated to get out & shoot lately & the weather hasn't been all that great either, so here's one last shot( I promise) from my trip to Point Cartwright.

I so want to revisit here. Yet I doubt I'll ever see another sunrise like this.

This is pretty much straight out of the camera with a little sharpen, hope you like it!!

Canon 50D & 10-22 @ 11mm.

4sec@f16, ISO100, CPL & Singh-Ray 3stop Rev GND.

Hope your Sunday is a great one!!

A woman i know who lives about a half mile down the road graciously offered to let me come and photograph her poppies last sunday. They just stop you in your tracks as you come around the bend - they are so beautiful and there are so many .... these are a couple of the barns on her land and one of the very old oaks as well :)

*** Wow!! First Place! :)) Thank you so much Exposition Group and to everyone who voted for me in the weekly contest! I am honored, thank you! And many thanks to all of you for your kind and thoughtful comments :) It's clear to me that i'm not the only one who loves poppies :)) ***

Prints, notecards and canvases available at Jacki on Imagekind

My gorgeous friend Sunday. Just finished editing these, it was a fun session to shoot.

If you want to see more check out The Blog !!

Thanks to a fellow photographer who reminded me that this year the fields at this location would be golden at sunset. This much visited spot could only deliver beautiful shots most of the time, but last night was something else! Two images merged to help balance the exposure differences between sky and crop. Then just a matter of producing the right colour to reflect what I saw.

An Irish Philosophy:

There are only two things to worry about:

Either you are well or you are sick.

If you are well, then there is nothing to worry about.

But if you are sick, there are two things to worry about:

Either you will get well or you will die.

If you get well, then there is nothing to worry about.

But if you die, there are two things to worry about:

Either you will go to heaven or you will go to hell.

If you go to heaven, then you have nothing to worry about.

But if you go to hell, you'll be so busy shaking hands

with all your friends, then you won't have time to worry!

Sunday a day of peace and quiet and mono. Don't worry be happy. :-)))

In the same beautiful flower garden in Jelsa on the island of Hvar ,where I captured the black bee, this Magificent Swallowtail Butterfly was perched on a flower, just waiting for me to take this image and share it with all my Flickr Friends on this first Sunday back home in Texas.

Hope Y'all like this magnificent image of this Swallowtail. Lol: Gaston (aka Gasssman).

Thanks for all your support on my work in Photography.

The title says it all...

The sun is very low in the heavens now which gives this rather golden light. I haven't done any colour alterations here.

Happy Slider Sunday!! HSS

Get on board the "Midnight Train."

I took a shot of the full moon last night and than added the clouds and the tracks. I'm starting to feel more comfortable with Photoshop.

I think I told you , because I eat a lot of fruit, I have a little fruit fly problem. Anyway, I started eating this Greek Yogurt, called, "Chobani." So, it has a clear plastic lid, and I found, if I put a banana peel in the bottom of an empty container, than the fruit fly will land on the peel. And, after several of them have taken the bait, I put the lid back on..:) They live longer than I thought they did. Two or three days! I watch them! No, I haven't started given names. Well, not yet anyway..:)

My team lot in the shuffleboard tournament..:( Oh well. Next time.

I was lucky with the beautiful light and cold.

So you see the struggle between winter and spring and I enjoy it :)

Last Sunday on my walk at Ægissíða shore I capture this shining sun hovering over the sea.

While Alles is sleeping i try to look after and entertain her piglets. I call them Babe 1, Babe 2, Babe 3, Babe 4 and Babe 6. Babe 5 sadly went missing after driving the motorbike off the skyplatform. Or ... he might be lost in Alles's bottomles invent. Mmm yes, that is more likely.

Sunday March 5

Managed to get out and about to do some photography yesterday, and also had some nice light. Luxury!

This was taken on a Sunday Morning walk around Brereton Heath.

Explored! Thank you!

This is a photo from the archives and is certainly not representative of the cloudy, rainy weather here in San Diego today. It is Sunday though, and this is what I imagine to be a perfect Sunday evening. Sitting in the stillness of the ocean as dolphins and pelicans go by, and watching the sun set just before you catch your last wave in. Seems like heaven to me.

Single capture this time, no excitement, just a grey wintery nothing, wet and muddy at the playground....

Thank you for staying around!

Sweet Daydreams:

A capture from one of the canal rivers as a family embark on a Sunday afternoon ride out on their barge.

It was the stillness of the river and the slow gentle movement of the boat that was lovely to experience. I managed to get a swan included into the frame (after a few failed attempts) that seem to be uncaring of this intruder into its space

I thought I would give you a rose every Sunday to thank you all so much for your kindness and encouragement:-) Sending all my friends lots of love, each and every one of you are so special to me ... xxxx

8th Feb 2015 (39-326)

This morning I risked my life crossing (electric fence) to my neighbors farm. Thanks God electric, no big bull nor cows there. Too cold I suppose. So happy to take a risk :D

I put Gertrude sideways in the road at the bottom of a hill at the end of a curve for this one, everyone went home safe. :-) There just wasn't a better spot for the shot.

I sent hundreds of shots to Lr, and I love almost all of them. I played with the tone curve for the first time, quite the eye opener. I've been trying not to post any of these since the anniversary of the eruption is next Sunday (stay tuned) but I can't help myself. :-)

Taken on the road to the Johnston Ridge Observatory.

I think I'm headed for Rainier in the morning (Sat) wish me luck. :-)
