This picture was taken at Merewether Beach, NSW. I really love this picture as for me it gives it a memorable summer vacation feeling with a father and son heading out to surf together. Even though in Australia we are actually in the middle of winter.

If you´re looking for a quiet and modern hotel with a spectacular infinity-pool in a beautiful city with good weather guarantee - well, look somewhere else!
Seriously, as school holidays are still 4 weeks ahead, I spent a short weekend in Kassel and "dokumenta 14" (google if you like...).
The diving board on top of the old hotel is a statement and piece of art titled "ARSCHBOMBE" (translates: cannonball (?)) by Ralph Raabe from 2002.

I like the way the texture shows up in the image (view large). Interestingly it looks sharper viewed on Firefox and IE than on Chrome... gotta dig into the rendering engine on each sometime...
