Do you like pie? Mmmm...my photostream was due for a splash of colour too, so good timing.
This kind is called Summer Harvest - it has blackberries, raspberries, rhubarb, apple and pear in it, all prepared just right to create a soft, moist, juicy, delicious pie. Pie is good! Amazingly, this was only $5.99 - I bought it out of town. It would've cost almost twice that in Toronto. But they don't sell this kind here, so there we are.
Barack Obama likes pie too:

Here's to a more prosperous future with more pies for us all! : )

Little red potatoes at the Farmers Market, Country Club Plaza Mall, Sacramento, (in the mall parking lot off Butano, near near Watt and El Camino) Saturday morning.
I grew pumpkins near a fence that borders my property. The runners of those pumpkins climbed that fence & formed a pumpkin inside the wire mesh.
This was the result.

One of a group of photos I took at the little fruit stand just South of Suttons Bay on M22. Steimel and Sons.

There is no hiding the garlic flavour in this lusciously smooth soup - fresh zucchini from the garden (or your neighbour’s!) is a wonderfully seasonal base for a creamless, creamy pot of goodness that is packed with nutrients and taste, not fat! Adapted from The Kitchn
