One of the largest and oldest cemeteries in Milwaukee. Lots of large crypts and monuments. Worth exploring if you have the mind to.
Three bracketed exposures 1 stop apart. Processed in Photomatix for HDR. Imported .TIFF into Lightroom, edited a copy in photoshop for sharpening, color enhancements etc. Saved back to LR, cropped, strong contrast curve applied, slight bump in clarity, converted to B&W, split toning applied, vignette applied.
We ran up to Door County for a concert in the park this past Sunday. My favorite band was there www.storyhill.com
C didn't last very long so hubby took him to a park. At least J and I had a blast.
dh took this right before the concert started.
What an unexpected treat while I'm home for Christmas! Last week an e-mail went out that Chris (of Chris & Johnny/Storyhill) would be doing a house concert in Minneapolis on Sunday night. I was thrilled because I knew I'd be home Sunday night!! It was a perfect evening... great to catch up with Carla and Annette... a cute, cozy Lake Calhoun home... and a small group of people to hear Chris (and a Justin Roth cameo too) play some good songs, tell some stories and create some very cool memories. House concerts are just fabulous. Really, one of the best shows in a long time... or maybe I'm just high off of being in MN and the caribou I had earlier today.
A little inside motion but it's nothing I can't take
A little part of me's been sleeping but I think it's now awake
And I see it in the summer and the way that it's dying
Life is so much deeper than the feelings I've been fighting
So I follow my heart now cause my mind's been misleading
And somewhere down the road I think I'll find what I've been missing

There was a beautiful moon rising during Chris & Johnny's set tonight. So beautiful!

Here's what I woke up to each morning while at Storyhill fest. Beautiful Hyalite Lake and some of the Hyalite mountains. And PeeWee's tent.
The last set of each night was Storyhill -- here they are at the end of the last set (just before the campfire). Such a great show tonight, complete with an invitation from Johnny to sing along!
Here is Amy, Deborah, Abigail and I at the Storyhill concert. Deborah is the one with the "Birthday Girl" tiara. Deborah is a new friend - she recently came to Messiah to work. How wonderful to meet new people and make new friends. Fun times...
It was great to see a whole bunch of friends at the Storyhill show at the fair tonight.
Laura and PeeWee (high school friends)
Eli, Marcus, Alysia, Jackie & Sara (family)
Carleton & Lisa (small group)
& Carla, Amy & Marie (friends from various places... and the four of us went on a trip to Montana in 2002)
And there were a few more there too but they somehow escaped a photo!
