thought i'd lighten up the mood a bit today.

Fit For Free Dance Parade, Netherlands, Rotterdam, 2009. This event is one of my favorites of the Rotterdam zomerfestivals.

This photo is part of a big set of this day. This one was taken in the second half hour of shooting (jPOFdp09batch02), from 14:00 until 14:30 at Blaak. More batches are to follow, as my limited free time permits. Thanks for your patience. :-)

Some of my best shots of this event will be posted in JeromesPOV, check the Dance Parade 2009-set over the next weeks and months.

Hard to explain - after a water fight Harrison started walking around with a soaking wet sponge on his head. Naturally, so did Oliver.

The evening was winding down, the sun began to set, and the bladders of so many were filling to capacity. As the lineup at the woman's bathroom began to grow, tempers grew short - the park concierge walked by with this roll of paper on her arm (of course, she came too late for many) and began to tell the crowd of 30 that the bathrooms would now have to be closed because it was 8pm. I have never seen so many women upset at one time - well, except the time when the Today sponge was taken off the market...

Is he spongeworthy? I don't like the drawings of those women on the box. I don't like the graphics overall.

Spongeworthy (5.12b/F7b) in the main cave at Crag X, Red River Gorge

Who doesnt love Sponge Bob?!? A good friend of mine gave me these "A Drink Would Be Nice" napkins, as well as matching plates and cups, as a birthday prezzie a few years ago. I never used them (what's wrong with me?) and I found them in my closet at my parents house on the weekend. I've decided to give them to 2 people I KNOW will appreciate them more than I will, which should be fun.

I thought a little Sponge Bob tongue action would make for a good 365 pic... :)

This little girl was jumping and running about

trying to stay warm as the chilly winds whipped all around.

I caught her in this moment, with her head down trying to sheild her face from the cold.

With her head in this position it truly looked like Spongebob Squarepants was just standing there by the marina with that silly grin on his face.

(Props to you if you know where I got the title from.)

Spongeworthy (5.12b/F7b) in the main cave at Crag X, Red River Gorge

literally. out of all the gas stations we stopped at from Texas to San Francisco, these were the only twinkies. i'd started to fear they'd been discontinued without my knowledge. and once i found these, it became a question of whether the moment was "sponge-worthy". ;)
