Not my best bird photo, but I do like the way the water looks.

Apologies for the lack of comments - madly busy at work at the moment :-(

Water gets everywhere, i hope it was worth it.

Just splashing about for the fun of it. Have a nice Saturday!

Back in the kitchen shooting the splashes, this time on the Peroni caps. Wishing you all a great weekend!! :))

My first successful water splash shot after hundreds of previous attempts.

I wish you all a wonderful week.

Hugs

Exploration is Curiosity

Happy fence Friday, folks! ... I took this photo a while back, before joining flickr, when I wasn't yet on the constant lookout for interesting fences on Fridays :) but I noticed it does have a nice stone fence in the background. ... this seems to be my 100th upload to flickr, and it's been real fun so far, except that I spend far too much time on this than I ought to be. ... this is taken in one of my favorite places in DC, Meridian Hill Park, a great place to spend a lazy Sunday afternoon with drummers, and jugglers and splashes at the fountain.

have a great weekend!

thanks so much for your visits, will try to catch up soon, recovering from an insanely busy week....

random walks in DC

This photo was made together with my friend Alexander. On Fridays we often go a photo tour. However, this Friday was a rainy day and we decided to use his photo studio to work on a special photo: splashing wine out of the glass. To avoid that the splashing red wine would ruin floor, walls and ceiling, everything had to be covered with plastic wrap. And then we had to build a device to make the wine splash. It consists of two boards which are connected to a hinge. On the top board the glass was taped. The upper board was lifted about 10 cm and released. And then the wine swaps. On the next photo you can see the set up.

As you can probably imagine, we had a lot of fun with this photo. And the preparation was all fun, as well. And the best is, the walls, floor and ceiling remained unharmed. No cleaning and painting jobs of Alex's studio were necessary.

Wonderness Motionless Water

A splash of green on the rocks, misty water and subtle sky detail makes for a nice image, Fort Perch Rock Lighthouse situated on the banks of the River Mersey in New Brighton is the venue. I can count myself so lucky having this wonderful lighthouse on my doorstep.

As I was trying to shoot the picture of the pelican, he thought I was trying to attack him and became aggressive and in an attempt to scare me off, it started flapping it's wings on the water.

Would appreciate a comment/favorite or critique!

risky endeavour, nearly get my cam splashed with water.

wished it was a IP68 gadget.

My boyfriend and I joined a photography club and the theme of this month was water, so a splash photo was a must!

I've heard of alot of people using just Lightroom to process their photos. I've always tried to just use it but always resorted to dropping the image into Photoshop to sharpen.

Tonight I was inspired to trying Lightroom again after speaking to Andy Farrer and seeing lots of his photos.

When I got home I opened up Lightroom and processed a picture that I hadn't yet done from a recent trip to Kimmeridge.

Not bad I thought. Lets see if I stick with it :)

Splash do splash....

Gostei de brincar com elas, pois cada disparo tem uma forma diferente....cada uma mais interessante que a outra...

Esta...o que te parece?

I was trying to catch the low fog this morning but got there too late. So I might as well drive around looking for some actions. Using my 6 stops B+W filter and the singh ray reverse ND 2 stops to catch some waves. I was waiting for the waves to hit this rock and gave me some big splashes!! I need to find out how to keep my filters dry ;-p
