I'm not sure if I made it clear in my previous posts, but there's going to be a lot more of WH40K models. Brace yourself.

I'm not sure if it is scaled properly with this, this or even these... But I think I got all that dread vibe right, that's why I really hope I managed to make it look pretty close those Forgeworld dreadnoughts. I was going to upload another thing today, but (after spending the whole night till six in the morning on this one) I decieded that this was the right choice.

Also it is the first time when I actually replaced LDDs built-in decorations with the help of LDD to POV-Ray converter, so there's no Photoshop here. This is a very nice option, it gives me lots of new ideas. The only thing is I couldn't find any nice patterns for minifigs in free accsess, maybe you could help?

Another render with a spacemarine for size comparison.

Here is the reference pic: Ultramarines Dreadnought.

It's not 100% accurate, but very. And it is a very stable design, I assure you. There are ball connections for legs and friction joints for arms. It got a bit more bulky than I expected, but I think I like it even more this way.

Thank you all for your support and comments! It's my image #301, yay!

In Space, everything and everyone is hostile. Aliens have been observing and 'probing' our ancestors for millennia. They know our capacity for violence. They know we do not come in peace. They should have stopped us when they could......

When I first saw the Galaxy Patrol Minifig, I knew I have to build something like this! Hope you like!

Minotaur Heavy Support APC: This is essentially Andrew Somer's APC built from breakdown pictures provided by M.R.Yoder. I've made some superficial modifications to 'Sci Fi' it!

Valkyrie Escort Gunship: The canopy design is based off Alex M.reever's Dropship. Everything else is my design.

I think these 2751 bricks of pain and effort are what I could call my best recreation of WH40K stuff. If you have doubts, here it the reference. I realize that a ton of proper "stickers" might make it better, but I don't really have any suitable images... Anyway, it is one of the most complex models of mine, a crazy mix of technic and system, plus it has a tricky system of geared joints, so it is even possible to make one that could be fully poseable and stable IRL! That little guy next to the main build is actually a spacemarine in his power armor! Yeah, it is that small :D

And my huge gratitude to all those tagged in, I wouldn't be able to complete this without all of the help and inspiration you gave me! Thank you, guys!

"Armed and ready!"

After I built the first Lego version of this dude back in 2014, I found the pictures, which were never uploaded, on my hard drive again last year. I still liked the foot design I had developed, so I decided to give him another try.

WIP: a couple of figures inspired by the WH40k White Scars Terminators.

I hope to build them really soon.

Thanks to Garry for great inspiration that its models gave to me.

Mortifactors Mortis Pattern Contemptor Dreadnought with Cyclone missile launcher and Kheres patterns assault cannons

Killa Kans are giant metal canisters on piston-driven legs that sport lethal close combat attachments and heavy-duty weaponry. One of their limbs usually ends in deadly power shears or a great buzz saw, whilst the other is a welded large calibre weapon. Kans are piloted by a permanently hard-wired Gretchin.

~Games Workshop & Lexicanum

Since I made the Dreadnoughts, I felt the need to make some opposition, hence the Ork Killer Kan!

Once again, where else to look for inspiration but Jerac! The Saw arm is based on his design, but the rest is mine! :)

i had a lot of fun converting the terminator captain. i wanted him to have a combi bolter like his horus heresy battle brothers would have used. (i hate storm bolters, they look dumb) and i absolutely wanted to have the heavy thunder hammer modeled on him

Yeah, I know I said I wasn't going to post WH40K, but that's not a replica of a miniature. I had that chest built even before I made my Tau Broadside Battlesuit. It wasn't really accurate to those Centurions and I was going to scrap it, but then I thought it deserved its chance to be. This modification is meant to be faster and has some powerful reactor thing on the back... Not sure if there is any analogue of it among GW or FW stuff and I don't really care... After all I said it's custom.

With the new parts available in LDD now I decided to update my old Ultramarine to enhance the articulation and to give him the ability to wear a proper helmet. Check and check! And even though this version may not be perfect to my eye, it is really-really close to what I was going to make.

I thank Rancorbait and for teaching me how to apply custom decorations in LDD/POV-Ray.

You are welcome to download this model from Dropbox! This helmet has a temporary decoration on it, don't get confused and simply don't pay attention :)

And the last not least: could anybody help me with finding some proper Piraka head decorations? I'm in a desperate need of them!!

Changed the legs. They look better from the side now, but I'm not sure it's an improvement viewed from other angles.

Holy heck it is hard to get a good photo of this.

Anyway, I've used either Lego, Clay or paint on this; no Warhammer Bitz, decals, or anything like that. And before you say anything, no, it's not done, but it's getting close.

Whew. Now that I've finished typing that, on to the next part; how does it look? I'll have more photos up tomorrow (possibly), and I'll continue working on it. It has jointed arms, credit to Pecovam for the idea, and Bilbobful for the tutorial.

This is inspired by such great WH40K-ness as McLovin and Geoshift. Unfortunately, I can't add Mclovin to the photo, but oh well. And dawn Hero is added cause he's such an amazing sculptor.

Well; that took a while. :P

Constructive criticism is very much appreciated.

Wow. The more I look at it, the more I dislike this photo. I know it's a cliche, but THIS PHOTO DOES NO JUSTICE TO THE FIGURE.

Yep I'm still building. Based on the Warhammer 40k Space Marine Jump troops. Just a small part of a large Dio for the Flickr Military group.

A quick vignette I built for the squad of Series 7 space marines that I picked up. I made extensive use of my light bricks :D

This is the newest Forge World's model made in Lego, I started building it the next moment I first saw it! The model may seem a bit raw and not really convincing, but nonetheless I'm really proud of it. The only thing I'd change is the ammo feed, but it's quite impossible to get flex tubes to work with other bricks right in LDD.

I'm not sure when I'll be able to make the next upload, these few last days were really tough in here.

The Space Marine Dreadnought is a large, walking tank which carries powerful guns and lethal close combat weaponry, armoured to withstand all but the most powerful of enemy firepower. Pilots interred within Dreadnoughts are Marines who have suffered mortal wounds in battle, maimed and crippled beyond recovery - instead of being mercifully killed, the greatest heroes are instead given what is considered the honour of continuing to serve the Emperor past their normal life. Dreadnoughts can be armed with a wide range of weaponry. These include power claws, twin-linked autocannons, lascannons, heavy bolters or individual multi-meltas, plasma cannons or assault cannons. Built into the close combat weapons is often either a storm bolter or heavy flamer and one entire arm may be replaced with a missile launcher.

I started building on Friday night and completed this model last night (No, I did actually sleep 8hours in between ;)

I used Jerac's photos of his Dreadnought as a reference. Let me say that Jerac is a real Lego genius, the degree of 'engineering' in the model is impressive. I managed to clone his build from waist down, but then modified it to improve stability and strength. The torso I had to build with my own techniques, but using Jerac's exterior shell as a guide. All in all, I am very pleased with the result. Without Jerac's model, I doubt I could have designed a model of such accuracy.

See the rest of my Lego Warhammer 40K here:

This is sort of a re-design of the WarHammer 40K Dreadnought design in LEGO form.....

Better Picture will come later on after my photo day on friday.

I hate to built with Black bricks, but this is kind of a quest to conquer ........ I hope I did conquer it.....

What terrible alien beast would make a space marine run for his life???

I made this a while before Halo Reach was released but I'm just now getting around to photographing it.

Make sure you check out the video of the steering function.

Little update of my Space Wolves army

Mark II plate Tactical Squad member of loyalist Death Guard legion force.

First off: I completely realize these parts don't go in the colors presented here, it's just a concept of how this should look like. Second: photoshop was added, so don't get confused with those few decorated bits! and the third is I think it's way bigger than it should be, but it looks rather proportional, so umm... Let it be ;)

Thanks to Jerac and Becheman for the endless inspiration in building WH40K spacemarines!!

Here are also Battle Sister and Apothecary built on this frame.

The Space Marine Stormtalon gunship is an aerial interceptor and ground attack aircraft. This VTOL craft can hover in place while unleashing its potent barrage, as well as engaging in more conventional dogfights like a supersonic interceptor. The Stormtalon is swift enough to engage nearly all but the fastest of enemy aircraft whilst simultaneously well armed enough to reduce the chosen foe to a mangle of twisted wreckage and ruined flesh. The Stormtalon’s standard armament is a nose turret mounted twin linked Assault Cannons. The side hull mounts can either be armed with twin-linked Heavy Bolters, Lascannons, Skyhammer Missile Launchers or Typhoon Missile Launchers.

~Warhammer 40K Wiki

This Lego model is depicts a Skyhammer Missile variant. The Stormtalon uses jet engines for propulsion and VTOL, in a similar way to the Harrier Jump Jet.
