This was the snowstorm that I was caught in, a fascinating site to see, the white specks on the photograph is actually snow starting to fall
Taken on 24th of December 2010. Because of the strong wind and the dense snowflakes, it was nearly impossible to take pictures!

This is what I saw looking out my sliding door onto my deck, to my back garden during a two day snowstorm that brought down 50 Centimeters of snow on us!!! Not easy finding where to put it all!! The shoveling really develops those arm muscles! LoL!
It was a day of contrasts up on the hill - beautiful sunshine then heavy snow showers with a biting wind. This is from Carn Dearg - not frequented by many people as it has no 'status' due to big brother Beinn Bhan being nearby, but there are great views to be had!
This is a shot from my trip to Taos, NM in February. The house we rented backed to this beautiful view of the mountains and I would check sunrise each morning for interesting clouds (and then go back to bed after seeing clear skies all week). On the morning before we left Taos, a snowstorm moved in and gave us wonderful clouds in the sunrise. Other than exposure and a bit of color and contrast, this is pretty much as it looked from the camera. The snow started shortly after in the high country and the clouds lowered and closed in over the entire area, so the remainder of the day was very cloudy.
In a snowstorm that hit the Denver area on Tax Day 2013, locomotives await servicing at Union Pacific’s North Yard. Some parts of the area received over a foot of wet snow by the time the storm departed.

AAW-Water
All kinds of water here: lake water, frozen water, clouds with water in the form of snow and snow and ice on the ground. :)
WIT: It took me freezing my face off! ;) Shot during a lake effect storm, slowly coming in off the lake. Processed in Lightroom and used the Silver Efex NIK filters to convert to B&W.
