A wild alligator in Iberia Parish decides it's time for a quick snack! Yes, this is a water snake of some sort. This shot isn't very good but in a split second it was all I could get before the action was over. I had not seen the snake before the gator grabbed it. There was a big explosion and water sprayed out of a grassy mat floating on the water and out came this gator a few feet away. So I took several shots but this showed the snake best. The alligator was about 6 feet long.

If losing weight is your goal, hear this: you will not do it through starvation, obsessively counting calories or just wishing that magically a few kilos might fall off. You know the drill: move more, eat well, sleep 8 hours and repeat. While it can be frustrating to look at it as a sustainable lifestyle change…

Candid street photography from Glasgow, Scotland. When I'm 'on the ball' I seem to get my timing just right - enjoy!
Alpaca having a little mid afternoon snack. Taken in Puerto Octay in the south of Chile. The view is from the restaurant called El Espantapajaro a highly recommendable place to eat and enjoy a mix of chilean and german style food.
I shot this picture from a boat with Nikon D50, Vivitar 70-210mm f/3.5 manual, 1/350, ISO200. It was a calm day and many seagulls were after another fishing boat to collect the dripping fish from the net. I shot a series of frames that day, but only this one seems to deserve to be on Flickr.

I think this might be a tiny moth larvae, but hopefully some of my more knowledgeable friends on here can put me right!
It's been such a busy week here, but hoping for a bit of relaxation and a catch up tonight :)
