A rainbow graces the water at Lundy Canyon Falls in the Eastern Sierra.

this waterfall again....At the bottom of my subdivision this little water fall grows and wanes depending on the amount of rain we get..I was out for a walk and it was quite dark but I was able to rest the camera on the chain link fence that surrounds the stream to keep it steady.. EDIT: now that I think about it, I had my tripod that evening and it was also resting on unlevel ground against the chainlink fence..I got 4 shots then it got so dark my camera couldn't focus automatically so I went home :-) Explore @ #91 Aug 31 says NaPix..Thanks so much! Good old long exposure of 132s during sunset.

I really need some kind of GPS tracker, because I always forget the exact name of the place. The only thing I remember is country & province.

shooting some rapids on the Lofoten islands with extreme short exposure (1/6000s), which is sort of fun when you are used to seeing all the lovely silken smooth long exposures. I just love to question routines sometimes and this is the result :)

This was fun to do just experimenting with my off camera flash, a plate of milk & a small young assistant who ten minutes earlier said he was bored.

I let him press the remote shutter release whilst i hand held the flash so really it was his accurate timing which captured the shot. What was even more funny was that the plate kept filling up so it was down to him to keep the milk level down by drinking it using a straw. He must have drunk a full pint that day ...lol

It was quite amazing to go through the 100+ shots afterwards & think this was the best one.

The remarkable thing was he said it was the best experiment he had ever done - Bordom Solved.... !

Catch you all later on my return ! Take care all ;o)

My husband, Ger, and I have just set up our own website at www.gerardandannephotography.com/ . It is very much a work still in progress with lots more photos to be added, but we'd love if you dropped by.

I promise this will be my last seagull shot for a while as I want to broaden my wings (sorry, terrible pun) so to speak and try a few new things.

these looked good on my computer but really dark once I uploaded them so I brightened this a bit in picnik...I am sure you HDR folks would have some different results!

I'm back to some seagull photos again. It seems to be quite an autumnal/winter thing as the background of leaves of trees suits these photos, and the duller days means the contrast of the white of the seagull is less of a problem. This is from the beginning of the year but I have quite a few recent ones to upload too.

Boeing Creek in Shoreview Park. The old pipe is a manmade distraction the purpose of which eludes me.

The weather gods were kind tonight and kept the fog mostly at bay while I worked on some sunset shots. As the moon rose, the blue hour colors came in really beautifully--it was a great night to be on the beach!
