Just getting around to uploading this shot, one of my trademark LE exposures of my favourite subject, Boats.

Exeter Cathedral dating from the early 12th centery. Photographed after heavy rain on a cold winters night.

please respect copyright, and do not use without my express permission, thank you.

I set out to experiement with long exposures while waiting for the sun to get a bit lower in the sky. It as been quite dry so the river is very low with little flow. Any-how I never intended to take this as a shot to put onto Flickr but I find it oddly attractive, I`m not sure why...

Thirty second exposure using a Lee Big Stopper.......

With the weather we have been having where else could i go and get a slow exposure shot, well i couldn't resist paying my favourite beach a visit

Impossible to resist this lighthouse when the light is this good!! Taken at sunrise on a recent November workshop - my participants were pretty 'made up' !! Enjoy All

This is a thirty second exposure which on one hand has given the waters surface a polished sheen and on the other, a light breeze has moved the top of the trees in the right hand corner causing a blur. I suppose I could edit that out but not sure that its really worth it?

Gloucester Boulevard, Port Kembla

River Teign.. running through Fingle wood's on Dartmoor..

Thanks for looking.. have a great day..

Dawlish Warren at the Exe Estuary in Devon, England. Surf on the horizon is caused by a sand-bar, when the tide is running it can be very dangerous to swim here.

Luang Phor Toh Temple reflected in a rice paddy. We were in Korat yesterday and I hoped to get a sunset image of this beautiful temple on the way back. I was so disappointed when we ran late and I missed the sunset, but in the end I quite liked the late blue hour image.

This is one of a series of images. More to come. Hope you don't mind a recurring comp!!

The Louvre or the Louvre Museum is one of the world's largest museums and a historic monument in Paris, France. A central landmark of the city, it is located on the Right Bank of the Seine in the 1st arrondissement.

This old boat has no engine and is just left to the elements, with some high tides lately the boat was surrounded by a higher than normal bank of sand, and a bit tricky to reach this time of year, due to the soft sinking sand in certain areas.

Decided on Caldy Beach Tonight, standing in the mud waiting for the very low tide to cover these wooden structures, had some nice light for a change at this location, it is usually grim.

LARGE View On Black

Last week i had very fascinating walk around the estearn bit of Regent canal (from Islingtone to Limehouse basin). Such a variety of impressions and the combination of the urbanity with nature.. And i found out a lot of new stuff for myself in London. I am not sure how much of it to show as it could look monotonious if you have not walked yourself... But i really recommend this walk for Londoners...

Have a great week ahead of you!

I'm not a great lover of vignetting but other than cropping an image i think it suits this poor old boat, i tend to do this effect to highlight the main point of interest and not the clutter which surrounds it, sheldrakes is a very hard place to get a decent image, you cannot get a solitary boat without half a dozen masts protruding into your shot. I get asked quite a few times about my processing, i have merged images before to create a subtle H.D.R. but this has my usual slow exposure sky feature, combined with NIK colour efex pro and viveza software. I know it won't appeal to everyone but i do like the effect myself.

The Fullerton Hotel by Singapore River.

Taken, January 2012.

The Fullerton Hotel has a beautiful architectural design. Restoration works were completed approximately around the year 2000. The bridge in the foreground and flanking the right side of the image is Cavenagh Bridge. Cavenagh Bridge is a suspension bridge for pedestrians. Anderson Bridge is the bridge on the left side of the image and it is a vehicular bridge. Both bridges span across Singapore River.
