I was doing some cleanup in my older photos of NYC, and I was about to throw the raw file of this one away, when I remembered a phrase I read once, don't remember where: "This park is the green lung of the city". Then I thought I could make a good illustration of this concept of "green lung" using this photo.
Taken from the "Top of the Rock" (rooftop of the Rockefeller center building).

Manhattan, one of New York City's five boroughs. This is in the downtown area. The two light beams were placed in the former World Trade Center site as a tribute to the 9/11 victims.
