Piccolo aneddoto... volevo fare una foto diversa al Golden Gate, magari ne sono state fatte decine uguali a questa, non lo so. Ma per farla mi sono disteso perché volevo avere la più ampia visuale possibile e neanche in ginocchio ci riuscivo (poi vedo dagli exif che ho scattato a 17 mm invece che a 16... vabbè...), sì, se passavate in quel momento sul Golden Gate potevate sorridere a vedere un tipo con giubbino totalmente disteso che cercava di fotografare (ma non intralciavo, ero in un angolino alla base del pilone). Scatto due o tre foto e poi nel momento in cui sto per rialzarmi, vedo che c'è un bambino disteso a fianco a me, con la compattina che faceva la mia stessa foto! :) e dietro, in piedi, suo padre divertito! Che figata, gli ho detto "Well done boy, this is how to take a different picture, always choosing a different angle" e ci siamo salutati. Priceless...

Short story of this picture: that day I wanted to take a different picture of the Golden Gate, maybe there are lots of similar to this one, I don't know. So i decided to lay down on the bridge, completely, I pointed the camera and took two or three pictures, when I finished I noticed that a little boy was laying next to me with a point&shoot camera in his hands taking the same picture, and there was his father standing behind us smiling. So I said ""Well done boy, this is how to take a different picture, always choosing a different angle". I can say the little boy was very happy! Me too. Priceless.

Dramatic skies before the storm

With it's 007 livery removed, 91107 is now seen in EC Grey, with metal 'Skyfall' nameplates, racing north through Hitchin with the 1630 Kings Cross - Edinburgh service.

Before it's short-lived 007 livery, this was one of the first 91s to carry the silver livery, rather than the light grey it now wears.

Yes the film was worth seeing , a couple of hours of "not to serious" fun. .. and yes the audience did clap when the DB5 made its appearance.

91007 "Skyfall" approaches Skelton Junction at the rear of 1E12 10:59 Edinburgh to Kings Cross. 27/4/13. Perhaps not the ideal composition but I don't find it easy to judge when to press the shutter on "going away" Class 91s.

Rain wasnt the only thing falling out of the sky yesterday. This little guy fell out of his nest, bounced off my umbrella (which broke his fall) and onto the street. We picked him up and put him aside so he doesnt get stepped on, but i fear he's to little to make it...

Here's a somewhat poster to photoshoot me and my friends did recently for local doll photoshoot 'game' of sorts. Everyone who wanted to got random pic of singer who's song to they had to make a photoshoot.
