Participation GRATUITE à ces rencontres d'une journée devenant internationales ( Certains groupes comportent des artistes étrangers de contrées aussi lointaines que la Californie ou l' Australie )

QUICK SKETCH
A drunk girl in a cafe. She seemed a little disappointed when I told her it was not a gun but a clarinet in the case at my feet. When her bill came she emptied the contents of her white vinyl pocketbook all over the table the scattered minutia of a chaotic life falling onto the marble with the sound of an unsteady rain,assuring the waitress that she was sure the money was in there somewhere. The waitress bit her bottom lip and her cheeks flushed as she anticipated the ugly scene of when she finally had to kick the girl out. She had only had a coffee and from behind her bent form still in the midst of its search, I held up two extra dollars, caught the waitresses attention and put the money with the rest of my check before leaving.

Cafe sketch, should have just concentrated on the counter and ignored the tables and stools.... and left more white.......and ignored the view outside. But I learnt from this and it was a major step for an introvert sketching outside my comfort zone.
Here's a little Flavor for you from a sketch I drew on 7-24-07. Sraight Pen, One shot, sketch. This is a sketch that I would actually paint. A lot of times I sketch shit up but never ever think about painting them. I just get to the wall and end up freestyling. This has got the style of E in it that I was using in 1998-99. I always liked that E but got bored with it after using it a bunch of times in pieces. I'm sure I'll bring it back again in the future in some shape or form. Who knows, maybe I'll paint this sketch this weekend. With all the arrows and sharp edges in this one, it's ready for war. I think I was trying to leave no openings for attacks, in it's defenses. Fun stuff!
