Look at your feet. You are standing in the sky. When we think of the sky, we tend to look up, but the sky actually begins at the earth.
Those clouds are angels' robes.
Mira a tus pies. Usted está de pie en el cielo. Cuando pensamos en el cielo, tendemos a mirar hacia arriba, el objetivo cielo realmente comienza en la tierra.
Esas nubes son túnicas de los ángeles.
Still drizzling during the time this shot was taken. A horrible weather to be but it tamed down alittle after the heavy downpour. Shot on manual white balance adjusted to 9K + temperature colour.
A silhouette is a view of some object or scene consisting of the outline and a featureless interior, with the silhouette usually being black. The word is an eponym named after Etienne de Silhouette, a finance minister of Louis XV who in 1759 imposed such harsh economic demands upon the French people that his name became synonymous with anything done or made cheaply. She remembered watching a summer sunset from this very spot. Not so long ago; just a lifetime.Captured in the deserts near Jaisalmer, Rajasthan
The sun was quickly setting while the cranes were still flying in to this pond to roost for the night. The lighting/colors change quickly at the fringes of daylight in New Mexico, and if you get the bonus of some clouds it can be quite spectacular. Unfortunately there were very few clouds the days I was there. For some brief moments the almost departed light was hitting the water just right to image this silhouette. Most of the photographers had already left for the night. I am glad I stayed a bit longer to shoot. The Bosque del apache is truly a magical place. 1/20/2014.

I had just left an abandoned house I was snapping during sunset, when the sky turned orange and I thought to myself that this would have made a good silhouette shot of the house. I started taking video of a group of pronghorn crossing a road, when this big male stepped out and I got a few shots of him.
Silhouette of a lady with colourful fishes at the Sea Life Sydney Aquarium.
Silhouettes intrigue me because although your main subject appears like a “negative space”, yet it can still be the primary focal point.
Up early & being the first time I have been out in weeks, it was a struggle. Special thanks for Mario (aka Space Cadet3) for the 5am wake up call and the invite ; )
Anyway a short trip north at Manly's Cabbage Tree Bay, I met up with Mario to chat & occassionally take a photo.
The subjects are Mario at work & the distinctive "Oceanids" sculptures at Fairy Bower ocean pool
BTW, check out Mario's work www.flickr.com/photos/mariobekes/
