This is the coolest sign I have seen!

...the good stuff is rarely on the Broad Road....

A good night's sleep in Reno.

Reno. I always wanted to see one of these in person and I can say, its a real pip.

... pass the ketchup ... and the mustard...

Some of the best around...Happy Tuesday...

Superior, Wisconsin. The business is long gone.

Today is World Toilet Day

I'm always glad when I find one. According to UN statistics, as many as 2.5 billion people do not have access to improved sanitation at all.

You can find me on Twitter, today it is #WorldToiletDay

"There's a light inside of us,

A shining star to guide us,

Follow your heart,

Follow your dreams,

Right from the start. "

Fresno's rather seedy motel row

The classic stay over in Albuquerque right on 66. Please try on black.

I've had a long day cruising a rainy Iowa farmscape, back Saturday.

One from the archives that I haven't uploaded previously .

An anonymous & equally ubiquitous motel sign looms over the horizon in Havre, MT.

I make no apologies. I like signs. I like to photograph signs. The older the sign, the crustier the sign, the more interesting the sign...the better. Northern Montana has an abundance of old sings. I will finally be able to work on my "Letters of the Alphabet" set of photographs.

I thought this one was kind of fun and I really liked the colours... as I was pulling out of this parking lot after taking a break for lunch along the Overseas Highway, I noticed these signs were posted to prevent people from driving straight into the ocean on the other side! the aqua green colour of the water here is due to the very shallow water that surrounds the keys... usually no more than 3 feet deep. at times the sun makes the water seem to glow.

Duck Key, Florida.

Rockford, Illinois. That dent is kind of troubling.

Hipness in Downtown Savannah.

2010 shot of one of my favorite vacant places (formerly fast food; there's one open further east) in Chicagoland; when I posted it in 2007 I got an interesting comment about its ownership:
