Credit to Jake for the wear effect, inspiration and the smiley, and credit to whoever came up with wood grain!

This poor butterfly has some stories to tell from the looks of the wings.

A shot of a torn scouring pad I keep around to help produce bokeh. Taken with a Canon 60mm USM Macro lens. Type L for a better view.

Our Daily Challenge - Gossamer - 6/28/13

Again, I apologize for not keeping up with your photostreams...very busy week...

I meant to post this yesterday, my 1 year Flickr/HDR "birthday", but I was finishing work shots. I've been sitting on this forever and mixed everything I like to create this insanely, purposely overcooked image--long exposure, fake tilt shift, HDR, glow, ridiculous amount of vignetting, graffiti and coast.

This an inverted reflection of Vancouver's Coal Harbour skyline. I played with the colors a bit to make them darker. I also extended the photo downward by 30% using the Flood filter. I then cloned any obvious "reflecty" bits so the buildings appear more contiguous.

This is a pseudoHDR photo from a single RAW file.

This is my first attempt at using the the full potential of my 50mm f/1.8 "Nifty Fifty." I used a piece of glass, a table lamp, and some paper from my shredder to do this..

Many people feel they require to hang onto every document they’ve ever had in case they need to reference it or because they’re afraid to throw them in the blue bin. Calm your fears by arranging on-site shredding and recycling from a local industry like Absolute Destruction & Recycling who can damage your valuable materials for you.

(I made a drawing with a pen on paper. Then I made a painting with watercolor paint on paper. Then I altered each image using a cheap plastic fx lens and ArcSoft PhotoImpressions software. The 2 images were then combined using DMT and Google SketchUp software...)

I was roaming around the U of M campus area today and spotted this old grain elevator complex being torn down.
