Another shot from inside Melbourne Central of the shot tower. I realise I have taken and uploaded a few similar shots to this one but was very happy to finally get a shot of it with mainly blue sky. On most other occasions the skies have been dull and grey. I also like the light shadows across the brickwork.
Despite the thousands of sea shots like this on the internet I felt the need to 'give it a go' when walking on the beach today. While at the beach I saw about 4 seals swimming around in the rocky bays, annoyingly I had packed my 'landscape' lenses and which doesn't include and long zooms! I guess I will just have to be happy at seeing them!
This very summery shot (note the sarcasm) was taken on the beach at Morfa Nefyn in North Wales.
Thanks for looking!

No cropping here : )
Have a great week my friends!
Apologies for another shot of the lighthouse at Newhaven but with clouds like this I thought I would share it.
Two handheld shots blended in Photoshop to reduce the bright skies whilst keeping the foreground.
Luckily Photoshop did a great job of auto aligning shots otherwise I would of been in trouble especially with the lighthouse curving.

This was such a tough shot, shot using the canon 300 2.8 and 1.4 tele with and equivalent focal length of 420mm and then cope mode making it about 630mm. The lighting wasn't great, the shrubbery was in the way and it was bloody freezing. Still I was happy with the end result for my first kingfisher shoot, now all I need is a long lens.
I have another shot similar to this one in my photostream that I posted weeks ago, it's of this same bird after it had taken flight. I came across this photo and thought it was interesting as well. I should have posted them together!

This was the last shot (series of shots) before the 5dmk3 went down . It's in repairs now, hopefully they are able to repair the damage from one small wave.......as I understand, the insurance will not pay for sea related damage ....time to find another company or at least look around for one I think.
first shot with my new lens tonight, have gone for an all in one lens 18-250mm sigma for when i go on my travels, will still take my 10-20mm also, just wanted something new lol
A Simple Shot, Parton beach on a cold morning a couple of weeks ago. Sometimes you don't need to do much to make a shot work.
I have captured the picture of this beautiful rose in rugged and romantic continent / country, Australia, specially for you all my friends ! PLEASE VIEW LARGE
See lots of pier shots on Flickr and wanted one just a little different but a pier shot is a pier shot, right? Well, this pier at Hearst Beach in CA is just a little different in that most piers have pilings on each side to hold it up but this one also has a piling in the middle as well. After many shots finally got the water to appear in motion without being silky smooth and yet not stop captured. This one was more of a photography lessen as opposed to a good shot.
An old shot I found that I took on top of the super fresh parking lot.
One of the first shots taken after upgrading to my Sony
