1994, Compton, Ca. Dwayne stepped off a curb to cross the street. Seconds later he got hit by a car. He remembers flying so high in the air that he reached for the telephone wires. When he came crashing back to earth, he shattered his elbow, his shoulder, his hip, and his right leg was twisted around itself.
The car that hit him drove off into the night.
Even though Dwayne lost so much that night, he has never let it define him. His strength and positive outlook on life are truly inspiring.
She's my sweety. ;-)

The standard Lancashire United single decker of the mid 70s was the Plaxton Derwent bodied Leyland Leopard. Most were the longer PSU3 model but three of the shorter PSU4 were taken into stock and the first of the trio is seen here at Eccles bus station in August 1985 working former LUT service 651 to Trafford Park. 432 would have little over twelve months service left with Greater Manchester at the time of this photo as it was one of nearly 500 buses taken out of service in October 1986 as the Manchester fleet had to do some pretty serious streamlining to face life in the brave new world of deregulated bus services.
