Annual leave, folks. So I guess when I return to scenes like this, things will be a lot brighter at the same time of day.

This seemed to go down a treat on the 'gram, so I've put it up here for the Flickr.I don't know whether it's because it's something most people don't ordinarily see, but to me, this is normal.

The Bombardier-built S8 stock was well bedded in on Met Line workings at the time of this May 2012 capture at the Watford branch terminus, and the A Stock was disappearing fast. The half-centenarians made their final run at the end of September. Will it be farewell too for the old Met station at Watford? Plans are advanced to reroute the Watford branch into the more centrally located Watford Junction station.

Or the disco lights as some of us have started calling them.

Here's a bit of video: www.flickr.com/photos/version-3-point-1/10653996985/

Installed on Platform 1 at Baker Street. Part of a trial to reduce incidents at the PTI (Platform Train Interface) at risk stations (Farringdon, Baker Street, Finchley Road). They do not distract us as drivers when we come to approach the platform and only illuminate once the train is fully berthed and stationary. Random enough phasing to draw your attention to the gap between the train and the platform. Very mesmerising at as the daylight fades.

Trying to get back to my roots of being candid whilst commuting/lightweight when on site. Carrying the EOS 5D Mk III is now too obvious for candid, even with the EF50mm f/1.8 STM (even though I used to be able to pull it off quite easily 5-6 years ago), and I find that the EOS M can be slow at times, though the EF-M 22mm f/2.8 STM is ideal.

Currently waiting for a suitable time to get my old Canon film rangefinder repaired and will see where I go from there.
