The Church on Blood in Honour of All Saints Resplendent in the Russian Land.

Orthodox church built on the site of the Ipatiev House in Yekaterinburg, where Nicholas II, the last Emperor of Russia, and several members of his family and household were shot by the Bolsheviks during the Russian Civil War. The church commemorates the Romanov sainthood.

Autumn on Sakhalin Island East coast.

From my 2005 Archive

My friend Mikul asked me:

What is the difference between rocks on Russian and American Paciific shore?

Russian Pacific rocks have "a distinct smell of oil and gas", buddy.

That's what makes Sakhalin Island so attractive for the $$$ of Houston oil-n-gas behemoths :-)

The Resurrection Church of Our Savior, also known as the Church on the Spilled Blood since Tsar Alexander II was assassinated here, is just as ornate and beautiful on the inside as it is on the outside. During the cold war, the church fell into disrepair, but now it has been fully restored. I caught this shot one early foggy morning during my visit to St. Petersburg, Russia, a while back.

tracery building of the restaurant "Russian Yard" in Sergiev Posad.

The restaurant opened its doors to its first guests in 1992. With a privileged location in the historical city, the atmosphere of Russian life, the abundant traditional cuisine, the restaurant "Russian Yard" has quickly become a landmark, a point of attraction for connoisseurs and lovers of good food, as well as for tourists from all over the world. For foreign visitors a real Russian dinner: borshch, caviar and vodka, becoming another unforgettable memory of Russia.

The Moscow Kremlin

Moskovskiy Kreml sometimes referred to as simply The Kremlin, is a historic fortified complex at the heart of Moscow, overlooking the Moskva River (to the south), Saint Basil's Cathedral and Red Square (to the east) and the Alexander Garden (to the west). It is the best known of kremlins (Russian citadels) and includes four palaces, four cathedrals and the enclosing Kremlin Wall with Kremlin towers.

The complex serves as the official residence of the President of the Russian Federation.

This is a basic foot solder. Pretty much any black vest is okay though, and the legs can be swapped for plain ones.

I Russian Roulette On Black I I Russian Roulette Music I

I re-visited this location at North Narrabeen together with my good friend Marc Alexander and as I mentioned in my previous posts, once again I was delighted to see how much North Narrabeen has to offer to a photographer.

To do this photo I needed to stretch the legs of my tripod to the maximum so as to reach the rocks on either side. As well I needed to do the splits to hold the tripod in position for 5 sec and when I saw this wave coming I somehow I realised that I was in a Russian Roulette situation with my life and most important with my camera!!! Somehow having wet shoes from Big W ( RRP $9 )saved the day and my camera again.... so here we go...I hope you enjoy......

I reduced clarity for the sky - due the longer exposure and Cokin P set filters sky was looking awful , perhaps I should purchase different filters I
