Taken while driving. No other cars along this road. Just out in the country about 10 miles from my house.
This is an abandoned penitente chapel in very, very rural southern Colorado. I almost crashed the car to get this shot. Just came up on me out of nowhere. But in the middle of nowhere, so easy to turn around. One of those rare abandoned gems that one comes across as a photographer on occasion -- thankfully, no trespassing required.
Nothing is safe when winter storms roll through Middle Tennessee. This bell is mounted just outside the Cookeville, Tennessee Train Depot on Broad Street. It is completely covered in ice including the icicles all around the rim of the bell.
As much as I do not like winter and the cold weather, it does make for some great photography...
Three bracketed photos were taken with a handheld Nikon D5200 and combined with Photomatix to create this HDR image. Additional adjustments were made in Photoshop CS6.
