Fall colors on full display along Dixie Avenue in Cookeville, TN. Driving home after work and I was able to catch the setting sun shining through the multi-colored leaves. While this scene is only there for a short time, it's worth capturing in a photograph forever.
Three bracketed photos were taken with a handheld Nikon D5200 and combined with Photomatix to create this HDR image. Additional adjustments were made in Photoshop CS6.
"For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." ~Jeremiah 29:11
American quarter horses on the serene open prairie outside of Havre, Montana.
Very friendly horses. Almost too friendly. It didn't take long for them to approach me and ruin the shots I wanted. They were beautiful animals nonetheless.

This farm is across the street from my house. While I was shoveling the driveway early Tuesday morning I heard what sounded like thunder. As I looked up I saw the roof of the barn collapse under the weight of the snow. Later in the day we carefully explored the contents of this abandoned icon. Wait until you see what we found.
Yesterday morning I went with a friend while he did a few choirs. He said, "anytime you want to stop and take a photo, just let me know''!
So, this showed up soon after while we were driving on a back road in Sheffield,MA so I asked if he'd pull over. I never left the van. I just had him nudge it until it was framed the way I liked:)
A few start and stops later, I'll bet he wishes he never said that~;)
