I almost got myself pinned between two rocks while taking this shot. I was trying to move my broken tripod into a spot where I could get the moss and ferns on the rocks while I still got the long exposure of the both waterfalls coming down.
There's a lot to see beyond the fence that surrounds this old abode, but mostly it's just a typical Nevada County rural residence, where there's a place for everything, and the place for it, is basically lying around haphazardly on your property--usually where you used it last-- until you might need it again. Whenever that might be and I'm sure the owner knows exactly where everything is.

Manor, Texas is just east of Austin and is still pretty rural. Austin is spreading out that way but not as fast as it is toward the north. I drove here Monday because I've been having trouble with the cars air conditioner. I thought I had fixed it and wanted to take a short road trip to test it. If you stay in the Manor Inn everything you need is within walking distance..:))
This Lift Bridge, on the Illinois and Mississippi "Hennepin" canal was erected in the early 1900's . It provided farmers access to their land ... north western Illinois ... texture by Lenabem-Anna
I was going through some older pictures when I came across this one that was taken with my Canon A710 IS. It's a great camera to just grab and point and shoot as I head down the highways and byways...being a passenger, of course. :) There's just so much character that can be found in America's farmlands. This one is best viewed large.
An old, weathered schoolhouse or church tucked between the hills outside of Loma, Montana.
I found this old church or school a month or so ago, but the light and the sky wasn't just right. I loved its belfry, which surely once had contained a bell.
