Back in November I happened to have my Canon 100mm macro lens on my camera as I was walking down the sidewalk to work. With the hills ablaze with vibrant autumn colors, I couldn't resist taking a few shots with the morning light being just right. (Best viewed large)

Over the years I have photographed this old barn many times and its still one of my favorites . It sits along a country road near Brussels, Illinois . Whenever I'm in its area I stop by it just to see if it's still standing.

The old Cottonwood Lutheran Church is abandoned on what is now pasture land north of Havre, Montana.
I had to fend off a herd of beef cattle, including one very anxious bull, to get into position to take this photograph. Lucky for me they didn't much like the horn on my truck. They kept their distance long enough for me to set up my tripod and capture this image.

Looking out from the shoreline of Avery Lake on a foggy morning. If you look closely, you can see submerged dead trees. Those trees have been there about 50 years.
