Yesterday we went for a little stroll after dinner. The sun had set half an hour before, mist was picking up when we past this cow with her two calves. I put my camera on a fencepost and took the shot at 1/10 of a second, capturing this beautiful light.

Somewhere in the English countryside.
While driving home from the north end of Whidbey Island and Deception Pass state park, State Route 20 took us through some of the most beautiful farmland I'd ever seen in Washington State. These poplar trees towering over a field of yellow daffodils were irresistible.

This was by far the highlight of my photo trip with my Dad. This place had me dropping my jaw, it was so beautiful. The property was full of beautiful Live Oaks with Spanish moss and the wildflowers were out! There is also a possible slave cabin that is still standing that I was able to photograph. A dairy was located here more recently and to top it all off, the GTO was parked in the back. I have no history on the house, but I will try to find out. I plan to return here whenever I can.

Buildings are shells and create spaces for a variety of activities. Sometimes the needs of their inhabitants change, which can result in a redesign of the outer skin. Those may be necessary, but sometimes the results come out quite odd.
