Dasht-e Lut (Persian: کویر لوت, "Emptiness Desert"), known as the Lut Desert, is a large desert in southeastern Kerman Iran and is the world's 25th largest desert.
The surface of the sand there has been measured at temperatures as high as 70.7°C (159°F),[1][2] and it is one of the world's driest and hottest places.
Taken in Fuerteventura.
I could have done it better, but at the time I wanted to take a quick shot as we stopped in the middle of nowhere. There was no traffic, but I did not want to take too much risk. Unfortunately we did not get any more days with these beautiful cloud formations.

The two things I love the most when I drive in America are the Road and the Sky. While we were crossing the Everglades on the Tamiami Trail, FL I had to stop and to take a shot in one of the several places where the road and the sky where they meet so well.
When one arrives here, on this stretch of road, on this infinite straight line of asphalt which leads the eye and the driver into an absolutely world famous landmark, it is literally impossible not to halt the car, step down and take a photo. Doesn't matter how many times one passes from here, he must stop. And when the sky is like this one, no excuses.
First-time visitors to our cabin are always treated to a drive down Rogers Road, a series of rolling hills through woods and corn fields. Over the crest of one special hill the road dramatically seems to drop right out from under you. Approaching the crest of that hill, we usually speed up just a bit . . . !

Road to the Mount Cook, aka Aoraki (its Maori name), the New Zealand Highest summit, along the Lake Pukaki, heading to the amazing Hooker Valley and its glacier.

Looking north on the road to Badwater at the (rather poorly named) Black Mountains, location of the Artists Palette (a much better name!).
The road descends here quite rapidly down and to the right before reaching the Badwater Basin and then continuing on past the mountains in the distance.
