"Down by the river by the boats
Where everybody goes to be alone
Where you won't see any rising sun
Down to the river we will run
When by the water we drinks to the dregs
Look at the stones on the riverbed
I can tell from your eyes
You've never been by the riverside..."

I have posted many photos on Riverside Geyser. I really like it. I wanted to show how much water and how far it's erupts the water, and this photo shows that power.

Went for a walk in Riverside Park... I thought this was a good shot to convert to b&w. Let me know what you think.... Thanks to all my friends for you comments and critiques.
The new riverside walk along the Usk is a nice place for an evening stroll... there's a single cloud low in the sky as trees frame the east of Newport, reflecting in the river.
Riverside Museum through in Glasgow. An older shot that I hadn't got round to processing but thought this would make a good exercise in practicing some new tricks
Riverside, Cambridge.
The new footbridge is being built just round the bend of the river, almost opposite that chimney of the Technology Museum (old Victorian pumps). The flats on the right are a new development and may get a "Best Apartments" award in 2008:-)

A long exposure from the Riverside Museum and Glenlee tall ship; crappy weather today but it was good to get out along the river for a wee while.
Riverside playing at The Islington Assembly Hall on their "Towards the Blue Horizon Tour". 2017-05-22.
Riverside Dr is located in the west end of Toronto. It's 1.43 km in length and runs through the neighbourhood of Swansea or Village of Swansea as it's locally known. Riverside Dr is not pedestrian friendly as the street does not have any sidewalks. The only sidewalk is pictured here, but ends where those two cars are illegally parked. The neighbourhood of Swansea does not have any sidewalks either.
First post with my new Nikon D800.
I had the opportunity to visit Zion, Bryce and Grand Canyon during our spring vacation. More posts to come. Nice to get out and shoot again after a five month break from photography.
Thanks for the peek!

Riverside Museum in Glasgow, Scotland has some amazing architecture. This shot just looked like a spaceship to me. The inside of the museum is really well done, I won the 2013 European Museum of the Year Award.
Clarke Quay, photographed during a stopover in Singapore from a high rise gym restroom window (Thankfully it was too early for anyone else to be around).
Almost looks like a line of zombies at the bottom right of the frame.
I'd just as happily have stayed in the air conditioned kaleidoscopic wonderland that is Changi Airport, but it was a good opportunity to take a few ultra high res shots of the city.

This is Riverside Farms, an Apple Orchard located in Hood River, Oregon. They grow several apple varieties such as Red Delicious, Golden Delicious, Fuji, Gala and Granny Smith but it is primarily known for its Newtown Pippin apples.
Cutting through the orchard is a Union Pacific mainline simply named Portland. It snakes along the south side of the Columbia River Gorge on the Oregon side while its rival, the BNSF Railway runs freights along the Washington side of the river.
A Mainline is a track that is used for through trains and is the principal artery from which branch lines, yards, sidings and spurs are connected.
A sideing is a section of track parallel to a mainline and connected to it at both ends by switches. Sidings usually allow trains traveling in opposite directions to pass, and for fast, high priority trains to pass slower or lower priority trains going the same direction. They are important for efficiency on single track lines and add to the capacity of other lines.
