A clutch of crocuses from my favourite Dodder riverside garden. This was taken at the beginning of the month before the freezing wind swept in from Siberia.

From my summer archives.
I thought this would be nice after a wild night of gales and heavy rain. It's from my favourite garden along the banks of the River Dodder in south Dublin
We rowed the waves amoung the anhored lilly's and rushs,
Leaden skys hasten our journey
hopeing we miss the storm
Tie our ropes to the mooring that awaits,
Casting our eyes we find our reward ....the Riverside Retreat

My favourite riverside garden along the Dodder has had a change of flowers with a whole bunch of crocuses, some purple, like these, and some cream. And there are lots of other things showing green shoots so I must keep an eye on it.

This is a courtyard behind the Riverside Receptions building along the Fox River in Geneva Illinois. Ive often wondered what this place was all about and last night I wandered around and did a series of photos. I have another shot below and a shot of the view from across the river below that. Pretty place. People have weddings and receptions here I guess. There is a hair salon and other shops in this courtyard, too. Pretty place at night. I had fun doing these shots.
Enjoy your weekend everyone :-)

Riverside Apartments - A building set in the near distant future. I was inspired by many 1950/60's concepts of how architecture would look in the future. I went through many ideas about what I should build before I settled with this idea. I wanted to have varying levels in height and depth but also to show a pleasant side to the future with greenery and water effects. The upstairs apartment interiors are minimalist in decoration and the ground floor houses a cafe/restaurant of sorts. Other features I have included are a greenhouse on the top floor, a reinforced wall to combat the rising river levels and an magnetic road which does not require wheels, where transport simply glides over the top!
