Another wonder near my favorite drive on the continent, Alberta's Icefield Parkway.

These teal glacial waters originate in the Peyto Glacier and Peyto Lake, then flow thru the Waterfowl Lakes on their way to the north Saskatchewan river. Mighty pretty country for us photographers….

This section of the river flows into a deep, curvy slot canyon downstream from where I'm standing (shown below).

As always thanks for your visit!

The Kawarau River drains Lake Wakatipu, in northwestern Otago, New Zealand. The river flows generally eastwards for about 60 km and passes through the steep Kawarau Gorge until it joins Lake Dunstan near Cromwell. The Shotover River enters it from the north; the Nevis River enters it from the south. Containing many rapids and strong currents, the river can be dangerous and has claimed many lives.

Thanks for taking the time to comment, I really appreciate it and

will always try to reciprocate with a visit back to your stream.

And have a great day....evening or afternoon :-)

The endless cycle of flow and freeze marks my winter days...leaving lessons about holding on and letting go within my soul.

Found in the parklands of Attingham Hall near Shrewsbury. The Hall, built for the first Lord Berwick in 1785, Attingham Hall and its beautiful parkland were owned by one family for more than 160 years. As their fortunes rose and fell they proved themselves to be spenders, savers and saviours - providing a fascinating story of love and neglect whose mark still stands in Attingham’s rooms today.

Discover the traces of the family story throughout the mansion, from the flashy but flawed Picture Gallery roof that contributed to the bankruptcy of the second Lord Berwick, to the prized paintings of the cattle that the fifth Lord loved.

Attingham’s saviours, the eighth Lord and Lady, began restoration work that lives on in the Attingham Re-Discovered project. This project aims to bring the mansion back to life, and in 2014, visitors can step behind the scenes and see our conservation work in action as we work to rescue and restore the stunning Nash roof covering the Picture Gallery.

My feet were completely numb when I climbed out of this river. Now it's my heart. I was blissfully unaware of the tragedy that had unfolded in Connecticut as I fought to clear the mist from my lens and get a clear picture. My prayers go out to all those broken families and to our broken country. Like the assassination of JFK and 9/11, I will not forget where I was or what I was doing when I learned the shocking, horrific, awful news.

This was shot right before entering Yosemite off of Highway 120. All the trees along the river are changing color and it made for a beautiful drive into the park. It made for a great Veteran's Day.

On a cold January Morning

The River Blackwater rises on the Cork Kerry border. It flows in County Cork through the towns of Mallow and Fermoy, then onto County Waterford through the towns of Ballyduf, Lismore and Cappoquin and finally enters the sea at Youghal.

When one thinks about tourism in Ireland, names like Killarney, Connemara, West Cork and Donegal might spring to mind, but when you ask someone in the know where is the best place for fishing in Ireland, where are the best places for horse riding, canoeing, kyaking, golf, walking, cycling, mountain biking or eating out - somewhere along the Blackwater Valley will be mentioned.

The landscape along the valley is as varied as the industries and people who live there. Strong traditions for theatre, music, dance, sport and fishing have sprung up all along the valley. While tour busses criss-cross the Valley on their way to the 'tourist destinations', those who know better settle in for a wonderful time in the Valley.

Thanks everyone for comments, favs.

River veiw at Glendalough, Co. Wiclow, Ireland

Cangas de Onis - Asturias

Still flowing, despite the best efforts of LA water managers years ago to completely drain the Owens River basin; fortunately, wiser heads have prevailed and some water is allowed to flow naturally, even if only to reduce dust storms in the Owens Valley.

The peaks of the Eastern Sierra Nevada in the background soar to more than 14,000 feet (4,300 m) in elevation, while the floor of the Owens Valley is 4,500 feet (1,400 m), making it one of the deepest valleys in the continental United States.

If you look closely, you can see one red tent and several cars by the side of the river; most likely fishermen.

Have a great week! Thanks, as always, for stopping by and for all of your kind comments -- I appreciate them all.
