From the eastern shores of Swiftcurrent Lake in Glacier National Park.

The last evening of February at Gray Lodge in Northern California.

Among all the fall colors i.e. gold, yellow, brown, red or even green, my favorite is still the autumn red.

What is your favorite autumn color?

Fall color was still lingering around in Van Dusen Garden last weekend.

I am reviewing my reflection album.

This is a really old picture from 2010 taken at Science World False Creek.

Have a great weekend my friends and stay cool because we are going to have heat wave in the weekend in Vancouver!

Is our reality the world of science and reason, the world subject to laws and order?

And the other side of reality is the world governed by mystical powers and desires, the world which is subject to randomness, uncertainty and chaos?

Or the reverse is true?

This is the Science World and its reflection taken last weekend when I was in the False Creek neighborhood. And my silly philosophical reflection on reflection!

Not every bokeh is the same and equal (just like the animal in animal farm and human in our world). Some seem to be more appealing to me.

I saw this bokeh of reflection in Minoru Park last winter.

Happy weekend my friends!

The temperature is cooling down today and it makes me thinking of autumn again! :o)

Have a great Sunday!

This is repost of an old archive picture from 2010.

Now we have had the first snow in Vancouver and fall is said to be officially ended.

I am big fan of portrait composition. This is another portrait composition of the fall color seen in Cypress Pond of Van Dusen Garden.

Happy Tuesday!

Fall colors are in style along the Merced River in Yosemite Valley, Yosemite National Park, in November, 2013. El Capitan is reflected in the water.

Fall leaves provide a beautiful reflection in the Merced River in Yosemite National Park in November of 2013.

This is a classic spot for photographers which I sought out inspired by the many posts of others taken from this spot. Unfortunately, we had only two days in Dresden and one evening for night shots in this now beautifully restored city. A small series from that evening...

By chance saw this incredible moon on my way home, didn't have a tripod so rested the camera on a beach fence post. Took two shots, one to get a good shot of the moon, the other for the reflection then merged them both together. Roughly 8 second exposure with the camera set on self timer to minimise camera shake. Processed in Painshop Pro 14 and filtered with Nik filters.

Fireworks in December. This was really something. :)

See where this picture was taken. [?]

I was in south Florida last week, and I found time to take some pictures one afternoon. I was at a little park with a boat launch on Sarasota Bay. A large group of Brown Pelicans were “fishing” by the boat ramps. It was a lot of fun to watch them “dive-bomb” and splash into the water. According to the Cornell All About Birds website, the Brown Pelican is the only species of pelican to plunges from the air into the water to catch its food. This pelican had caught several fish and was in the process of swallowing them; you can see the outline of one still in his pouch.
