“And so with the sunshine and the great bursts of leaves growing on the trees, just as things grow in fast movies, I had that familiar conviction that life was beginning over again with the summer.”

HAVE A WONDERFUL MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND, DEAR FLICKR FRIENDS!
I'm in a monochrome mood today, maybe because it was raining all night long! lol
I decided to do some processing to one of my old carnation pics and turn it into something else, not sure if its how i wanted it to be but its pleasing to the eye. Tell me what you think.
Have a great Friday & weekend my friends! As you know i'm not around on Flickr during the weekend!
Barrow Hill basking in the warmth and light of a newly risen sun, surrounded by a mist that clung to the ground. I took many shots on this wonderful sunrise, the light from the low sun lit up the land and mist a golden orange. As much as I love a sweeping panoramic view of this little hilltop, getting in closer still maintains that gentle curve. Its mornings like this that make getting up early so worth it.
Found at the local botanical gardens ...at quick glance just another flower... but a closer look will reveal its reality.
hee Guys, as some of you know i am working on creating a new place (with an old name..i am attached to it, what can i say) however it is one journey of frustration this time. Maybe because i have the old Dawn of Radiance too much in my head, but i feel that nothing works. I took everything down like 10 times already :(. I have no idea when it will be open for the public..if it takes too long i can change into winter again*chuckles*. I will update so now and then with new pictures.
Sometimes, I have an urge to break all the rules, and sometimes, it turns out okay. Click on the image for a closer look :-) Photographed along the shore of Carlyle Lake last Saturday; a beautiful autumn morning for a stroll.
Rainy & dreary here today; fall colors are at their peak, so I'm hoping the wind doesn't blow all the leaves away before I have a chance to get out there and enjoy it this weekend. Hope everyone had a great Halloween....our town postponed their trick-or-treating until tomorrow night due to inclement weather. Thanks for all your visits and comments; I appreciate them all.

Flickr is overflowing with roses,
but once in a while you want one for yourself :)
First in a new cross-processed set. Note: no photoshop, it just turned out this way.
Originally created for The Hypothetical Awards' "In the Garden Wizardry" challenge. This series of fractal waves repeat as they radiate outward, out of a dark centre, toward some unseen source of light. The curving back of the fronds suggests, also, a simultaneous return, a cyclic capitulation to the circle that is Nature.

Red light from the end of a large display balloon radiates like a colourful sun in Melbourne's entertainment precinct of South Bank during one of the many promotional events.
This is a variant of a picture that I posted some days back.
Winter's radiance can deliver us to a land of magic and fantasy. While chasing the sunset, I almost forgot to look behind me. This pool of radiance is a shallow feeding ground for over a hundred species of birds found in the Harris Neck National Wildlife Refuge.

There is nothing in the world more beautiful than the forest clothed to its very hollows in snow. It is the still ecstasy of nature, wherein every spray, every blade of grass, every spire of reed, every intricacy of twig, is clad with radiance.

Momentarily touched by the reflections of light. It’s like magic; it adds unparalleled radiance as it falls through the darkness onto the surface of the water.
Is it reality? Or is it hypocrisy?
