On my way to town I saw these young horses gathered in a coral.....Turns out the rancher was taking them back home to New Mexico for the winter. They had been grazing on La Veta grass for the summer!!!
These actually work. For a quarter, you can actually get a showering of water for about 30 seconds. Great for cooling off during a hot day, as well as the usual tourist photo spot.

Quarter slice is the reaction of four photographers to the Auckland central business district. Each records their personal response to the constant evolution of the C.B.D.

"There were originally four separate slave quarters like this building behind Redcliffe's mansion during the 19th century, according to John Shaw Billings, the last Hammond descendant to own Redcliffe Plantation. While research is currently underway to learn more about this structure and the people who lived in it, we do know that the building is a typical 'duplex' style of slave quarters. It is divided by a chimney with back-to-back fireplaces and might have housed two slave families. Despite renovation of the building in the 1930's much of the structure's original fabric remains, including twelve-inch square hand-hewn wooded beams."
